NIL’s

N$L payments have begun to attract the interest of foreign professional players coming to the U.S. to play college basketball.

It seems clear that NIL Collectives will disappear post House settlement.

“Utah’s AD announced the school will take over NIL fundraising, activation, and payments from its collective.

Another example of a collective being shut down/going “in-house” with the House settlement on the horizon.”

Interesting, the only thing I would say, which takes absolutely nothing away from his point, is the players are not monetizing “their name, image and likeness”, they are professional athletes being paid; which again, I don’t like at all from a fan perspective, but good for them 10 times over, I am a stoned capitalist.

What a sad state of affairs college basketball has become. Players suing coaches for not getting paid. SMH.
I'm always surprised how down our board is on NIL. We are one of the biggest beneficiaries of being able to pay players. Plus if the school can pay and there is a cap, that's even going to be better for us as we don't have to spend money on football. I'm not sure how robust our women's sports programs are, but I'm guessing we won't run afoul of title IX either.

Serious question because I have no idea and have been wondering. Are college basketball players even required to attend classes anymore?
