New York Mets 2025 Season

Wasn’t Timothy Leary the guy who invented LSD?
No, LSD was actually originally created from a mold that grew on rye plants, although it was eventually chemically manufactured.
The author, Norman Ohler, in discussion with Joe Rogan below discusses the origin of LSD he discovered while researching a book he wrote regarding drug use in Nazi Germany. Very interesting discussion and he credits the success of the Nazi Blitzkrieg on their soldiers extensive use of drugs to allow them to fight for long periods of time with little or no sleep.
A drug company that morphed into part of today’s Novartis were the original developers of LSD.

Be forewarned, it is a three hour show.
One interesting side bit; he shares anecdotally that very small micro doses of LSD, not enough to hallucinate, retarded and to some degree reversed his mother’s Alzheimer’s. He discovered the possibility while researching the book and it is interesting in light of the documented evidence of the use of hallucinogens in successfully treating PTSD, depression, addiction, etc. outside of the U.S.

Of course, if you want to discuss illicit drugs like LSD, you can just claim you are illiterate and cannot read or spell DSL (Dominican Summer League) Mets minor league level.

Very interesting. I have definitely read about the studies on what the last part of your post is saying but too bad the gubment will make people take all those pills their friends in pharmaceuticals pay them for in the form of “contributions.” I’ve heard that micro-dosing can be very successful for PTSD and the like. Across the board, too.

To be fair, hallucinogens are a required part of the Met fan experience, “Ya Gotta Believe” and all that. Last season there was this huge, amorphous purple thing that everyone got pumped up about…

who knows where this season goes from here, but as a big time Philly hater these past 3 days were glorious, and also brought up a lot nostalgic feelings of last years NLDS. Which got me excited for us potentially making the playoffs again. Maybe if we keep stacking wins we can even secure the division. Excited for this Miami series and hope we do not have a let down
I work for a PA based company and got to stick it to my boss today. That felt nice.

His stats last year weren’t great (they weren’t bad). Focusing on pitching on has really helped him power forward.
Switching from playing both ways to concentrating on just pitching is no small thing, though. After what he did when he dropped hitting last year and how he's dominated AA and AAA this year + his measurables, ranking him out of the top 10 for any mid-year or after ranking is wild to me.

Even if he gets crushed going forward...this kid has everything you want in a pitching prospect.

I think our farm system is still underrated, and that's crazy to say when some scouts have us at #1.

Holmes HBP and an error leading to a three run inning on one hit, a single. He follows in Senga and Manaea’s footsteps and gives the team a nothing start.
