Red Blaze or Red Blazers.

They got so many shooters now and will be on fire shooting the rock.

Better check each players hands after each game just to make sure that no one has 2nd or 3rd degree burns.

Why not--it would allow "The Tux" to return in something a bit more informal in a blazer, with redpants of course.

Thanks to SLU85 for providing the pictures of the Famous subway cars known as the Redbirds; they ran form midtown to Queens #7 line to Shea and Flushing. I could have lived with Redbirds as the nickname

The St. John’s Apple Pickers

With Johnnie Appleseed as mascot
& Apple as a sponsor deal

Drop the red, we can see that in their uniforms. Just go with the Johnies. I proposed that five years ago and was broadly chastised, but I have big shoulders and are coming back for more.
I'm with you, brother! It is, ahem, "red-undant". I'm all for keeping red in the team colors. There is no need to include it in the name.

The Red Lobsters noted reminded me of The Celtics G-League team is/was called the Maine Red Claws..it had a lobster mascot with a basketball in claw.
