Some of this could be Heron's uncertainty, which I understand.

If he comes back strong, that might give us a boost in the brackets, even if we only win 1 more game.
Could be but I would not to expect the committee to give SJU benefit of the doubt with injuries. Yes it can impact seeding no doubt. But you have to look at the circumstances.

Take Duke, yes the committee is probably factoring in the loss to Syracuse without both Tre Jones and Cam Reddish and the loss to Va Tech on the road without Zion. But there are serious differences. Both Syracuse and Va Tech are both considered NCAA teams with Va Tech being a legit top 20 team. Providence, DePaul and Xavier are not. Duke was more than competitive in both games as they lost the Syracuse game in 2OT without 2 players. It is reasonable to think that they would have won both if they were fully healthy. Also if Duke had lost to say Georgia Tech shorthanded especially at home my guess is the committee would not cut them slack. The committee would say, find a way to beat a bad G-Tech team shorthanded or not.

In the "every little bit helps" category:

Cal with the 3 point win over 25th ranked Washington last night. Their first Pac-12 win of the year, and it comes against the only good team in that conference.

You can't predict college basketball, Susan.

Well thankfully Fordham96’s opinion doesn’t matter. The committee chairman already said they would take into account teams that lost games with key players injured if they played immediately better upon their return. So far we have with Ponds and Heron.

I’m not sure what the point of offering your opinion is when the chairman already addressed it, but troll on.

Broke a 29 game losing streak in conference. Is it possible for the NCAA to decide the PAC 12 doesn't deserve anyone?

Right, that is what I said but troll on...

Always nice to invent an argument and then knock it down.

SJU was dropped 2 lines...

But don't worry your the expert...Troll on.

Mrs. Mack just called she says you are her new hero...Then Norm Roberts called as well...

Well, they'll get one, the conference tournament champ.

For the sake of bubble teams, they better hope that Washington wins it, because they are in the best position for an at-large bid.

You know I was being facetious right?

Interesting to note. Xavier is now in the Top 75 net. So our road game against them will be Quad 1

Always hard to tell on the message boards, Fordham. For me, it's hard enough to tell when someone expresses it verbally.

But, my comment about the at-large teams rooting for Washington to win the Pac-12 Tournament stands.

The NET is an extremely flawed system to me. 9 spots ahead of us at #50 is Penn State, who is 12-16 and 5-12 in conference. How does that make sense.
The refs have a vote.
I don't know about that (I know you said that as a joke), but I do think this system will be tweaked a bit, over the next few years.

Uh how the hell did we drop 10 spots in a single day? Yesterday's game only accounted for 1/29th of the games we've played all season. Did all our previous opponents lose or something? That makes no sense.

Our next 2 games are away, so we shouldn't be negatively effected since that's how NET works. Further, I don't think our NET matters too much since it'll be offset by Q1 victories. Still, not good.

Clearly, because of the injuries, he is not docking us.
How exactly does this work? So if Team A is missing one player and Team B is missing 5, Team A still gets a break because they were missing a player? Yes we were down a man last night but X was missing 2 of their players. Think this whole concept is bullshit. You play the hand you are dealt. Everybody gets a trophy mentally. Recruit some depth. Injuries are part of the game. Let's just let computers figure out who wins the games.

Well, one of the guys for Xavier has been out since right around the time they started winning. I don't know how you judge that. He has not been with the team for what is being called personal reasons, so maybe he was a problem. That might be unfair to him, but the correlation does make you at least have to wonder.

The other guy was suspended. IMO, if they would have lost, they should not have been cut any slack, for that reason, because that's different then Heron being out with an injury (especially if Heron comes back strong). However, I do not have any say in the matter.
