(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #15 Omaha, Thu., Mar. 20, 9:45p, CBS

We get the win against Omaha but I hate the game time/region bracket we are in so I expect some sluggishness against a team that will be giving 110 percent. Also not really happy drawing Kansas/Arkansas for Round of 32. The committee really screwed us. I was really hoping we could have got East region and played in Newark.
I love the late night game. Get home at night, got me 3 six-packs, and sit down and enjoy watching games before ours while being amped waiting for ours. I can't freaking wait, I absolutely hate the waiting part.

The region means absolutely nothing for the 1st & 2nd rnds, it's in PC.

You need to buy in bulk. A 36 pack of Coor;s Light sets me back about $33 after recycling empties.

And you build up your arms at the same time carrying it.

The guy that jumped from the ledge onto the trash can much not be getting any NIL money.

Count me in the group that suspects ESPN as scripting worst case scenarios for Big East teams that appear mostly on Fox. ESPN might have some influence over NCAA decision making and memories of Jarvis (Barkley affair) and Lapchick (opting for NIT ahead of NCAA) linger in NCAA belief system. This crap almost makes me like UConn on rare occasions.

I have some nerves because, while I didn’t know a thing about this Omaha team before yesterday, it worries me that they shoot the ball well, rebound & play all upperclassmen. That’s usually pretty good DNA for a scrappy NCAA underdog.

That’s being said my confidence in this team has grown game by game throughout the season, no matter how experienced or gritty this Omaha group is they haven’t played against guys with the size, length, speed & just pure athleticism of guys like RJ, Richmond, Zuby or Smith. There’s just no way they’ve faced that level of competition. And as others have said for the first time in decades I think SJU has a coach who will refuse to let them be taken by surprise. Omaha may hit a bunch of early threes, we may be down or it’s close at halftime but they won’t be able to hang in the championship rounds and we’ll eventually overwhelm them.

Edited to add…my one worry is also a whistle-happy crew. That will be a concern throughout the tournament.

Chillax, everything is going to be fine. Breathe

They might toy with our emotions and go down 10-11pts in the early going, but that's how they do.

Everyone knows what coming after that. From down 24-10 (then Rick calls a timeout, then we'll finish the gam on a 74-30 run and win 84-54.
