Tim Doyle (remember him?) says he saw Omaha play this year and thought they would be a good match-up against a 2-seed.... but, (laughing) St. John's is the wrong 2-seed. He said he seriously thinks the Johnnies could put up 100 points on Omaha.
Timmy with his now newly Northwestern education and that dogsh$t pizza thinks he knows better he can suck it. You can tell he hates we are good!

Maybe. I'm pretty neutral on him, but he is pretty funny. He is fond of saying "They can vacate our NIT championship, but they can't take back my ring." But I assume you stopped reading my post after "Tim Doyle" and didn't watch the video.

Did you catch Tim's line about playing for St. John's and being in the 30-30-30 club? If the team was up 30 or down 30 he got put in for 30 seconds. Great line from Tim.

I watched the video of him not believing in us. I was kid played with him at Hofstra camp when I was a kid. Looked up to him. Let’s go Johnnie’s and his Chicago pizza can suck it!

I'm a pessimist at heart but even I can roll my eyes reading that article. All those amazing things Omaha did since February was done against other teams in the Summit league. Not trying to hate on the team or the league but there is a different level of not only skill but athleticism between the summit and the big east. You have to take some of those stats with a grain of salt.

Plus the writer of the article's name is Porter House which should give an idea of who he is rooting for

Funny to me that we're playing a team called the Mavericks. My 6 year old son is named Maverick (spelled Mavrick) so because of that he's going to want to root for Omaha. Good thing the start time is past his bedtime!
Does that make us the Iceman?

Some are talking upset alert.

Why St. John’s basketball is on upset alert in 2025 NCAA Tournament

It's amazing how all of these TV experts and journalists, who haven't watched a St. John's game, love to say we will fail because of our 3-point shooting. They've been saying it all season, while we kept winning. We've scored in the high 70's - low 80's in almost every game, but some how, that 3-point shooting percentage means we can't score. If you don't bother to watch the games, at least read the whole box score before commenting dudes!

Exact, oh they're gonna make us shoot 3s, and Uconn Creighton, Marquette, didn't try that???
How did that work out.

Ohhhh they got elite rebounding skills. lol

I knew everyone was going to find it comical which is why I posted it.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere (probably because I didn't go the right forum), so I'm posting it here. We finish the season ranked 5th in the land!
But the “unbiased selection committee” made SJU the last # 2 seed, in the same bracket with the last #1 seed, Florida.

Very well could argue that the two hottest teams entering the tournament should have been seeded higher.

Do these so called experts saying the upset can happen based on our three point shooting bother to look at our offensive rebounding stats? How do they expect a team starting 6’2 guards and a 6’8 center to keep us off the glass. Kadary is also going to be able to post up their guards at will.

I’ve also heard mentioned this is a tougher first round matchup for us because they defensive rebound well. They have not seen Kadary, RJ and Zuby in any game this year. If they played against that competition more often they wouldn’t be reflecting as well in that area.
