NCAA Tournament Thread

Villanova and Creighton could not have asked for better paths to the Sweet 16.

Villanova hasn't played this well since our second game against them.

Oral Robert’s over Florida in another upset and a game down to the wire.  Is this tournament great or what?

Villanova has been impressive in the first half. Up by 20. Hope they keep playing well in the 2nd half.

Can't be too many 15 seeds who've  made it to the Sweet 16

Scottie Lewis and I finished with the same amount of points, but he did manage to outrebound me by one after grabbing a board with 0.7 seconds left.

Seeing Scottie Lewis on Florida reminds me of how badly we all wanted him and teammate Bryan Antoine who ended up at Nova. Neither has lived up to their rankings

I think the seeding was all screwed up this year because of the uneven season because of Covid. A lot of these schools canceled their out of conference schedules. So you really didn’t get a chance to see teams playing teams outside their own conferences which is how they judge which conferences are better etc. but they didn’t have that metric this year. The Big 10 was way over seeded and the PAC 12 was under seeded. And these mid majors normally play major conference teams out of conference early in the season and didn’t this year, so many of them were under seeded like Loyola-Chicago. Made for a great tournament though!  What do you guys think?

I am giving Scottie Lewis another year.  He is a super talented kid who does show flashes of stardom.

I was pulling hard for Rutgers tonight, as I have a connection to the Harper family.  Unfortunately, I thought Pikiell got too cute in the last 5 minutes and stopped running the offense that got them the lead.  Really tough loss.

Antoine has had two major surgeries for two different injuries on the same shoulder in his first two seasons, so I would cut him some slack.  Let’s see what he can do if he can get and stay healthy.

8 ppg definitely hasn't lived up to the ranking there, but there's no way of knowing that he isn't already a 14 ppg guy if he came here.

I don't know who is coming back next season, but I would have him on my list of guys who could benefit from a change of scenery.
