NCAA Tournament Discussion

Virginia made this a half court game right through out. They always say it is easier for a slow down team to slow down a fast paced team than it is for a fast paced team to speed up a slow down team and that has certainly proved out in this game.

Virginia controls tempo so well, but Auburn fearless. Great game.

Wrong

You're right - I was premature there. Not even sure who I'm rooting for here, but UVA is looking awful shaky.

I thought you were right. But this has turned into a great game.

You really think this is a great game? Sorry, It is close and competitive but both teams play “SJU offense”; no flow, little movement, mindless dribbling, afterthought, hoisted 3’s, one on one drives into the crowded paint. I don’t watch much ball outside of SJU and a little BE but to me, if these are two of the 4 best teams in the country, “me” ball and AAU coaching has taken over the college game. Jerome for Virginia has made some off balance shots, taken some ridiculous heaves and then committed an atrociously stupid reach in foul in the back court for his 4th which turned the game around. Maybe I am a purist, too old old and my time has past but this is just another playground game IMO.

Foul on Doughty with no time on the clock. What a great game. Kyle Guy is outstanding, what pressure on this kid.

Tough call. Doughty did bump him, but they were letting a lot go before then. What a helluva way to lose a game.

Ok, shitty game
Then again I have Virginia in wife’s company pool.

Well reffed game, they let them play all game and then that call was terrible. Key might have been bumped but not called all game and he got a pretty good look. Don’t agree calling that at all.

Whew!!!
It was a good call on the final play, but definitely a double dribble beforehand.
We have complained about the officiating all year. Now in the Final 4 it rears its head again.

Sorry, I just disagree, won’t happen again.

Was wondering why when Jerome bounced the ball off of his leg and then picked up his dribble again, it wasn’t called a double dribble. Evidently, it was and the refs blew that call. Horrible way for Virginia to win, let alone Auburn lose.
Double dribble. How many refs do you need to get that call right?
Unfreakin’ believable!
