NCAA Tournament Discussion

Great to see Iona Prep's Ty Jerome (21, 9 and 6) make it to the finals.

Watching TO out there tonight is a bit disturbing. He's making a difference in the Final Four. Why couldn't we retain him?

Him and his dad didn’t trust the coaching staff to get him where he wanted to go, which was deep in the tournament.

He is being proven right two fold. Not only does he appear to be right about this coaching staff at St. John’s, but he also joined the correct team and staff and is 20 minutes away from the national championship game

Retaining players has not exactly been a strength of this staff. Just maybe we should stop throwing shade at Tariq's Dad and ask ourselves why retention has been such a problem.

The Texas Tech coach , Chris Beard , did learn from Bobby Knight. Incredible constant pressure on the ball. I first thought how different they played than SJU but that won't be fair because they play tougher defense than just about every team.
How long did Beard have to wait to get a head coaching job?

I predict Michigan St. doesn't crack 39 points, and the Tech-Virginia game won't crack 95 combined.

None of the kids in the Final 4 will play in the NBA-they play too much defense.

Understood Jack, that was pretty much my point. TO would've probably gotten us to the sweet 16. It's not fun following this program.

Texas Tech going to championship game!! Great to see - boy are they well coached.

I am a Ty Jerome fan from his days at Iona Prep & this speaks to his character imo:

Great final with both teams going at it hard. Shows the greatness of college b-ball. Don’t need Duke, Ky or Zion to make it a great game. College allegiances >>> passion
