NCAA Tournament Discussion

Don’t think OT favors Virginia. They don’t get much scoring from their bench. Only 2 points so far.

Great game. Much better than I expected. Great effort by both teams.
Gotta love Tony Bennett. Class guy win or lose
From losing to a 16th seed to the NC, well played and well deserved.

Two classy coaches who both deserved to win. Glad for Bennett & UVA and Texas Tech can be very proud of the year they had as they exceeded all expectations.

Congrats to Ty Jerome who played in the CHSAA! My son who was 11 when we first saw him play and is almost 16 now got to see a real success story last night. Ponds will always be our favorite from that class but Ty is a very close second. This one was for you Gonzalo as I know you love the local kids as much as I do.

Heard much about Jerome but never really saw him play until the two weekend games. Very interesting, fearless, crafty player; I really enjoyed watching him.

Wonder if you see similar trajectory for fellow Iona Prep player Bryce Wills who just finished his freshman year at Stanford. Lot of similarities between the two.

Like I didn't see Jerome, I have never seen Wills, so obviously I can't comment. Funny thing, I watched the Auburn game and loved the way Jerome played but I did not make the connection as to who he was until I read Paultzman's post referencing Iona Prep. Then I realized he was a guy my buddy had told me several times through the years he was a player I would love. Kind of a little quirky but very confident game; great court demeanor, do everything guy.
