Whatever, that substantiates your original speculation about Heron feeling threatened w/o a doubt....I'll leave it there.
What’s wrong with you? Where did I say that he was threatened? I said I wonder if it factored into his decision based on all the other talent 2-4 already there. Auburn has ten guys that play 10.8 mpg or more.
Auburn is objectively better without Heron. He had to feel his role being squeezed as it was with Dunbar and Okefe last year joining Bruce Brown and Harper. Would you want another good player at your position added to that?
Doughty is the fourth leading scorer on an elite eight team (ahead of two top 70 RSCI recruits and a projected second round pick) and Heron didn’t even get named to a Big East honor roll.

Bruce Pearl on Doughty: “He does a little bit of everything, which is why his teams win. He doesn’t require to have to score the ball for his teams to win. He can have zero points and his teams can still win because he’s playing defense, communicating, has great energy. He’s doing a lot of things that show up on the stat sheet but don’t produce into his points. His teams work because he’s such a great team player and he makes so many winning plays.”
Better without Heron? Because heron is gone? Guess the two talented bigs who couldn't play last year and sat out Wiley and Purifoy have nothing to do with their improvement. Biggest difference is substituting Doughty for Heron I guess.
