NCAA Tournament 2022

St Peter’s playing with house $ and deserve kudos, but suspect they get smacked tonight.

Never seen any team Pump-fake like this Nova team does.... think they average 5-8 shot fakes a possession.

Also great quote by Reeves from Providence on saw on the Twitter-sphere... when asked about whether he considered a transfer but opted to stay- "Grass isn't always greener, sometimes you just gotta water your grass" - Bulletin board that one

at one time I thought Jay Wright was a very good coach but I have come to believe he is one of the very best to coach men’s college basketball.

Amen--particularly when you look at the kids he gets versus the Duke's/Tarheels/etc.

Arkansas is so athletic, defend, share the ball, have quick hands and tough. Fun to watch and leading Zaga by 6 with 7 minutes to go

Purely coincidentally, Arkansas reminded me of how we play defensively, with jumping passing routes and stealing, but they had a few more athletes who were able to finish around the basket last night.  That style of play clearly can be effective against a methodical team like Gonzaga in getting them off their game.  Heck, we almost finally succeeded against Nova in the BE Tournament.

Odd guy but great recruiter & solid HC

Eric Musselman is 183-61 as a college head coach. He has led his teams to a 69% conference winning percentage, 5 NCAA Tournaments, 3 Sweet 16’s and two Elite Eight’s.

Well as his dad once said, "Defeat is worse than death, because you have to live with defeat."

St. Peter’s can lose by 30 tonight and they still will be the story of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

I’d prefer they lose by less than 13 for personal reasons  :)

Providence is playing like a nervous, scared team. Very surprising given the seniors on their team. Either they wake up, or they will be crushed.

For some reason, I'm feeling good about Providence tonight. Just a hunch.

Gee And here I thought that when he came in after Anderson was fired they merely upgraded the facilities, as another poster mentioned. Fooled again.

Providence will be lucky to keep this to a 10 point game. They are really playing horribly

i agree with you 100% Ken but right now they are up by4 with under 15 minutes left. The pressure their guards, especially Hassan Drame of OSNA, are putting on Purdue’s guards is just fantastic.
Go Peacocks.

St. Peter's just keeps hanging around. You never know.

Meanwhile, Providence is making a game of it vs. Kansas.

St. Peter’s down one, last media timeout. The house is rooting for the Peacocks. The Purdue bigs keeping them barely afloat.

Providence has really come back in this second half and has made this an amazing game. Noah  H with back to back 3s. Now a  2 point game.
Go Friars.
