NCAA Tournament 2022

The past few years with COVID rules and the transition to the portal have made this a unique situation.  Coming out of this guys will only be getting one free transfer without sitting a year and it will settle down a bit, but that won't be true for all until all the players from COVID year finish their NCAA careers.  Will still be different than we remember but not like it's been the past few years.  That's assuming the NCAA doesn't fall apart, which is a pretty big assumption.

So Charlie Moore has played in the Pac-12, the Big 12, the Big East and the ACC... I'm assuming no one else has ever done that before, but with the portal you can't say it will never be done again.
Maybe he's doing research to write a book.

Heard a pretty remarkable stat that Miami has only 7 TO’s through the first 2 games.  That’s a record for the first two games of the NCAAT.

Miami .  Jim is a NYC guy and was a very decent player at Providence back in the day .  I don’t remember if he was ever available at the times we needed a new Coach  here ?  Would have been a good choice .                    And , so would McKillop .  He does a great job with Davidson , year in and year out .    Steph Curry could have gone anywhere , due to the family pedigree but, choose Davidson .  Kind of worked out well , hasn’t it ..

Per Rothstein, can’t minimize this

Villanova's Collin Gillespie has played a total of 206 minutes in the NCAA Tournament during his career. He has six turnovers during that span.

That's one turnover every 34.3 minutes.

Arkansas up by 3 over Gonzaga at halftime. Nova with a small lead over Michigan. They are struggling defending Dickinson.

Always a great tournament. A small criticism is you are forced to try to watch two games going on at the same time. I wish they scheduled two games this past Tuesday., Wed, Thurs and Fri instead of four on Thurs and Fri. Two each night are enough.
Teams that played last Sat would play Tues and Wed with teams that played Sun playing Thurs and Fri. I’m sure there would be problems but this is a tv event and I’m sure the tv stations would love more nights with games.

Arkansas is so athletic, defend, share the ball, have quick hands and tough. Fun to watch and leading Zaga by 6 with 7 minutes to go

Door being opened for a storybook ending to K's career. Ugh!

Nova controls a game so well, about to advance
One of the most disciplined and fundamentally sound  teams in all of college basketball. And getting better as the season goes on.

I don't agree with all the Gonzaga haters on social media who say they lose every year because of a weak schedule, since I think their OOC schedule is usually pretty tough.

That said, maybe it is time to move on from the WCC so they know what it feels like to be physically bullied every game. My vote of course goes toward Big East membership.

Feel bad for Mark Few. Great coach who may never win it all. Two great teams last 2 years.

But Arkansas is really tough. Muss can coach and he has built a very long athletic team.

I anticipate him being right up there with Bill Self and K at the top of the all-time wins list when he finally calls it a career, but would be nice to see him get one before he retires.

The New England Patriots of college basketball, in that they find out what you do best, and find a way to take it away from you.

None of this being married to one style of play garbage, that we see from too many teams that underachieve.

Yep #1 seed Gonzaga loses

Yep, Didn’t we as a #1 seed unexpectedly lose to an War Eagle/Tigers underdog team with some unknown player nicknamed
