In my opinion, Jay Wright is the best coach in college basketball.  As mentioned by others, the combination of fundamentals, discipline and toughness is unmatched.  

Hats off.

If you put all the coaches in the country names on the table and said, here’s school X playing in conference Y, we need a coach for the next ten years. I think he’d be the #1 choice. Of course there’s plenty you can’t go wrong with.

Just a Tournament observation but , do any of you think these mostly middle age or older Coaches look anything but , awful in their Sweatshirt like outfits ?  Plus it deprives us of seeing Jay Wright in his impeccably tailored suit . A few. coaches , Willard among them still wear a jacket and tie .  They can lose the tie but , these sweatshirts with the Quarter Zip are ugly . Just saying .   CMA is usually well turned out but , even he has gone over too .

You mean you’re not shocked Lavin’s suit jacket with the quarter zip underneath look never caught on??

If I hadn't met you at the Big East Boards party many years ago and also having met Desco who used to post here I'd think Desco wrote your post. He used to go nuts about Lavin not wearing suits then when his hero Mullin dressed worse I fear that drove him over the edge and he hasn't posted in years

Don't like the outcome, but how nice to watch two very talented and well coached teams play that kind of game.

Realize it makes me something between an outlier and super villain on this board, but I root for both Duke & UNC when they are not playing Big East teams. Aside from being a great coach, Coach K has done a lot of good things for the Durham area (see below). Also, Duke treated my daughter great when she competed for a law school scholarship there, so admittedly not unbiased.

Tremendous poise by Nova to win after Ohio State made their run. Jay has his guys dialed in. They just fundamental you to death. Glad the big east has 2 in the Sweet 16. Cooley and Jay deserve all the praise. I hope our guys are inspired to see 2 teams they very well could have beaten having success. Though we did beat one other Sweet 16 team. Need them to be hungry next year

Auburns Walker Kessler with his second foul four minutes into the game and has to leave, a huge blow for the Tigers. Right now Miami is taking advantage of his absence and is leading this game.

Seriously you could have left it with the statement about what a remarkable job and turnaround from 2-22 last year and it would have stayed on topic but of course we have to turn this and every thread making it about Anderson or cur failures. ENOUGH PLEASE!!!  

I came to this thread to read and post about this tournament.  There are numerous threads where we can regurgitate the same thing about Anderson, is he the fuy, his coaching, the AD, facilities and everything else in between regarding the state of our basketball program.   This is supposed to be about this years tournament and the games.  Can we try to at least keep it there and take the other stuff elsewhere.  And if I am guilty for previously responding to something other than that, my mistake and I apologies for feeding the behavior.

And before someone says you don’t have to read it, I remind you to take a look at the the thread.  I don’t know iff an individual post is going to stray from The topic until I read it.

Sorry and that is the end of my rant.
