Mullin Update

I consider this year zero as whoever coached this team would have had no luck. I had the nightmare last year when I realized our start lineup would include Felix, Jones and Amar. Next year we should be similar to where Seton Hall was last year less the drama hopefully. The year after we should be where Setin Hall is now which is fighting for the NCAA.

every time i see Caddington playing for Seton Hall, I wish Lavin had done a better job recruiting him. but, Lavin did a poor job on the local front.
As painful as this year is, Next year will be better. Mussini, Sima and Yakwe will be better. And, despite the fact, they were better players than we have now, I am not sorry Obepka and Jordan aren't on this team. Mullin didn't need their negativity and drama inflicted on these guys.

As for the sitting at the Scorer's table by Mullin, if it isn't a violation of Rules, is it that important in terms of the bigger picture? Maybe to some, it is and so be it. I also recall Don Nelson, one of the great Coaches, Mullin played for in the Pros, was I think, a Scorer's Table sitter. And, he was among the first to wear Sneakers with a Suit.

In the scheme of things, We may have to hope for a Win against Depaul later on and, maybe a upset here or there, to eke out a couple of BE wins. We really don't have a enough at this time, to be more Competitive.

As our losses to seeming Cupcakes earlier in the Season revealed, we just have to accept this year as a transition again. As we have done mightily since the end of the Jarvis era. Chris will get it right, I have confidence he will.

Great recruiting effort, as usual. Can we please get some Redwoods on our roster? Tired of seeing our athletes getting bumped and elbowed all the time.

@corey_evans

Louisville, Pitt, St Johns, Wake Forest, WVU among those here at #HHClassic. Wenyen Gabriel against top uncommitted big Jordy Tshimanga next
Recruiting their ass off to get program on track for stability & success.

Thanks Paultzman. Do you know if we are interested in Jordy ?
As I mentioned a year or two ago Jordys younger brothers play with one of my boys and I know his father well.

Lovett, Ponds, Muss, Freudenberg, Sima. A lot of talent and shooting ability, just not a lot of muscle. We need Alkins. A combination of strength and skill.

Per Class Calculator, Rawle Alkins & Richard Freudenberg would jump St. John's to No. 6.

Top 100 countdown of NBA greats @ ESPN.. Coach comes in @ 83. Seems a bit bogus even without seeing the entire list.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/nbarank160121/all-nbarank-81-90

Over the course of the 70 years that the NBA has existed, to be in the top 100 is one hell of an accomplishment. There have been so many greats, so I 'm not surprised by where Chris is on the list.

Ballots are popularity contests with more recent players often greatly favored over those from a long time ago. It's purely subjective. Still a nice accolade though.

Don't really know where to put this, but go check out @LaurenceScott on Twitter. Just posted a video of the Warriors hanging out with the team at Taffner. Looks like they might've practiced together.

Mussini tweets regularly about Curry. I get the feeling that is his basketball idol. He must be on cloud 9. Curry also tweeted about it today.

After seeing the video on Vine, I must say I had an ear to ear grin. Even with being winless in Big East play, I’m sure the team was stoked to have the best player (and team) on the planet at a gym in Queens of all places. Current and future recruits will see the benefits of having a coaching staff truly connected to next level. Additionally, the legend of Mullin also brings out celebrities to games at MSG even with a losing record. Imagine the Garden once we start winning consistently.

The staff definitely has the credentials and the connections to pull this off given a decent amount of runway to put the pieces together. Even with how the team is constituted now, our boys are playing with heart and effort although being outclassed because the current staff had to put a hotchpotch team together at the eleventh hour.

As I finish typing this, the ear to ear grin remains. I’m tired of being bullied and can’t wait to be the bully.
