Mullin Update

Mussini tweets regularly about Curry. I get the feeling that is his basketball idol. He must be on cloud 9. Curry also tweeted about it today.

I bet Dirk stops by next year to delight of Freudenberg. Mullin will leverage his contacts well I'm sure.

Don't really know where to put this, but go check out @LaurenceScott on Twitter. Just posted a video of the Warriors hanging out with the team at Taffner. Looks like they might've practiced together.
thats very cool

I always knew that Mullin's NBA experience would be an advantage for us and recruiting, but in my wildest dreams I never imagined this! Excellent!

You need wilder dreams :)

Vitale tweet;

"Tough times @StJohnsBBall but trust me Chris Mullin will get the last laugh in 2 yrs"

Federico Mussini – ‏@FMussini

It was unreal to be on the same court with the best player in the World

Great job by Mullin and whoever else arranged this

Strange MJMAHERJR in one of the videos graciously posted here it was said that the Warriors reached out to Chris & St Johns to practice at Taffner. Who knows but obviously there's the Mullin- Warriors connection so someone initiated the move.

No matter, as many have already noted this was such a positive big time move - and can be coupled with praise from other circles - such as the Vitale tweet posted here that in two years Chris will have the program moving! A clear boost to our recruiting.

Finally - another video posted perhaps the "Herd" show had Coward glow (extremely positive) over the Chris Mullin hiring but one of the other more naysaying announcers (??? please help me with his name, Stephen something?) stated emphatically that he liked Chris Mullin, that it was an upgrade over Lavin, but that no way could St J be successful because kids would not come to the Queens campus....such old erroneous news...

Well it's February 2016 and certainly seems recruits would be lured by the NBA savvy staff; and success could spread her wings right here in Queens and MSG! Indeed, as we all now see, it's already begun. Ponds, Lovett, Ahmed ...

Very cool...

Would have also been great if Shamorie Ponds had a heads up and was able to attend.

Between Rawle getting the royal treatment at MSG last night and this today for the team today, he might be feeling a little left out.

I paraphrase here but upon hearing that our Chris Mullin was taking the job at SJU, Cowherd said, "Im gonna call Mullin during the break, what is he thinking? That is a terrible job!"

Regardless of any comments Cowherd said about SJU. I've always wanted to kick his face into a curb. He's an annoying POS

That all might be true but in the video I saw he was so positive of Chris & how well the program will be and asked rhetorically " if your kid had NBA dreams would you want him to play for Mullin"...that no other staff could prepare a player as well as Chris & Co for the NBA

He has done a terrific job with this team with all the injuries and etc

now what he has done in the last 2 weeks with rawle, maker and now with the GS Warriors they are gonna go up and keep going as well

Huge Mullin supporter, but terrific job is a bit much for a team that has not won a game since Dec. 13th.

Maybe. doing a terrific cleanup job, which implies getting more talent in door. Brighter times are ahead.
