Mullin Update

Have my clock radio alarm set to the FAN so when it goes off and I hear Carton's loud obnoxious voice I jump out of bed to turn it off!

Thanks. A really good read. Made me feel good ... which is a lot to say.

Nice job by Zach.

I am (optimistically) figuring Zach must have had some communication with the staff over the last 24 hours, before releasing this story. In light of that, I find his Twitter comments on Ponds to be extra encouraging.

Honestly, there was not much to tonight's event. Mullin just came out for a 10-15 minute Q & A with Rothstein, and that was it for him. The assistants were around for the whole thing, though. They did announce both Dejan Matic and Greg St. Jean as staff members, so they are officially on board (both were there).

Pretty good turnout. The reception area was on the small side though, so it probably was not truly as crowded as it appeared.

On the way out, NYY Steak gave everybody a $20 gift card, which won't pay for any meals there, but could make for a nice, cheap lunch one day (it won't go very far at dinner).

The event was fine for what it was. Saw Matt making his way around the room mingling with people in the crowd, and Slice was chatting it up as well. Mullin was there later and did the interview and left without greeting or taking pictures with anyone which I think was a bit disappointing for most. The host did say it was the fall recruiting season so he had to leave. The questions from the host were very general, and I was actually planning to ask one myself since they advertised a Q&A session but that never happened. For the general fan it was probably a cool event. For us die hards, not really a can't miss event. That being said, I'm glad they are doing these types of events to engage the fan base.
