I don’t think there’s an NBA guard physically more imposing than Dylan Wusu nonetheless a college one. Kid is a monster. I think he’s gonna be a sleeper for us because he’s very physical but can also shoot to range quite well. It’s that kind of depth that I think separates us in some ways even if we don’t have the high end speed. We have torque. He’s like a mini-Artest.

When it's all said and done, I think Greg Williams will be Matt A's best contribution to SJUBB. Greg brings a lot to the table and I expect, now as an upperclassman, his leadership will begin to emerge.

With the addition of Pinzon, Traore and Stanley for the '21 class, Anderson continues to build the program his way and lay a foundation for sustained success. While none of the three have flashy recruiting rankings, they are all solid players with physicality and potential upside that will help SJU win on a consistent basis.
To take the next step we'll either need some players to exceed expectations (which wouldn't surprise me at all given the development we've already seen from some of the existing players) or to add an exceptional player or two to the mix in '22 or '23.
But we are clearly on the right path.

Van has really helped CMA establish connections with the local hoops scene
He was responsible for being the lead recruiter of several current and future Johnnies

I completely agree with what you're saying, and have been preaching patience with CMA's recruiting all along. But, I am curious as to why he felt the need to finish off the 21' recruiting cycle with a top 300 kid(on top of 2 top 200 kids) this early? Does that mean we are not in the mix with more skilled JUCOs and/or higher ranked big men? There are still a number of undecided big men in the Rivals top 150, and this was not a must-have recruit by any stretch of the imagination. Again, I get what CMA is doing by recruiting his kind of kid, but I think it's reasonable to question why he needed to fill out the roster (barring a transfer) right now. And that's no knock on the 3 recent commits.
