Nobody with any sense would. But compitition for Lawrence is fierce and CO is far from a done deal to my knowledge.Ok, so here's a question..
If Dave is right and Chandler doesn't qualify, then let's say we win the battle for Chris O, that still puts us in a position where next spring we'll need a big man, since God's Gift graduates next year.
Jermaine Lawrence appears to be our primary target, but is he a replacement for God's Gift, or someone who we want filling in at center? Not exactly.
Yes, I know we will likely use a small lineup, and you don't always need a true center. But my question is, even if we sign Chris, why aren't we mentioned with any bigs right now for the 2013 class? They're going to start making decisions soon, and we don't want to be sitting here next spring fighting for the leftover big men like Nolan, Chandler, Dickerson etc like we are now.
We're following Lawrence, and pgs like Jordan and Sina, but what "bigs" do will the staff start concentrating on in the 2013 class? Is Jordan Washington a possibility? There are the two pfs from Louisiana Martin and Damian Jones.. Not sure who else the staff might direct their attention to next.
With the open ship going into July I'm sure new names will pop. Heck Damian Jones was a new name last week.
New names will certainly pop going into July. Most of us know that Lawrence is the main priority in 2013 (at least, at the moment). I also wouldn't have any problem with a frontcourt of Sampson, Sanchez, Lawrence and Obekpa.

Far be it for me to be the voice of optimism here, but if someone told us several months ago that we would land Sampson, Sanchez and be the frontrunner for Obekpa, I think we'd be pretty happy. From what I've heard, Obekpa's offense is a far cry from Chandler's, but he has a great upside. Let's hope we get him. Does he have academic issues? I recall a few people posting something to that effect,

We used to have a female poster who, as I recall, lived in Port Jefferon - my hometown. Don't recall her screen name.
