Michael Chandler (OREGON VERBAL)

At this point, Chandler might be a reach for St. John's. He only started 7 games, albeit the last 7, for a JUCO. He played less than ten minutes a game. He really needs to improve his production in his second year.

Sanchez averaged 8.5 points, 11.75 boards, 4.278 blocks, and 1.72 assists as a freshman at Monroe for a team that had 7 eventual D-1 scholarship players, but was probably still not as good as NW Florida State.

It'd be nice to have another big body and our only low-post scoring threat--not to mention a junior with two years of college experience by the time he arrives to campus--but the baggage also can't be ignored.

I am starting to wonder if the staff will be able to fill the three scholarship vacancies.

Season hasn't even started yet.

75 to 80 percent of top 100 recruits are committed already. Does it make sense to load up on 3 star talent?

Does it make sense to fill up all 3 ships? All signs point to only 1 of those ships being significant minutes this year. Of course it's dependent on everyone else returning and if thats the case there is less urgency. And '15 is a loaded class by all indications. Yeah I'd like to know what big man is filling Primo or Gift's shoes. But time will tell. It's not like were replacing 5 starters.

And this thread can go off course because we will inevitably be talking about 3 other schools Chandler pops for before Easter.

What makes one think we're gonna load up with 3-star players? Kneejerk reaction.

The staff feel most, if not all, of the roster with eligibility will return in '14. If not, then they'll plan accordingly. But they feel good about the former.

The '15 class is certainly loaded, and this is the class where the staff is gonna have to make their bones. IMO, I feel they will deliver.
