Mets

Clippard's biggest problem is that the ball has stayed too high up in the zone the past month. The ball never stays low anymore. Reed has to pitch the 8th.

I have posted a million times I don't get modern baseball, DeGrom is dominating, throwing hard and loose and you take him out.....why?

Marillac just wrote the same exact thing on our met Facebook group page. literally just wrote it. lol

Just paid a ridiculous price for Monday's game for upper deck seats.

The thing that made me click "Buy" was the thought that some Duke fan bought my tickets to the game last year for 3 x as much

I'm so freaking pumped to go on monday. Cant get here soon enough

Slaying Kershaw was so huge... The prospect of going against Greinke and Kershaw for 4 of 5 games looked daunting if not impossible. Now they KNOW they can beat Kershaw even when he is on, because our guys are just as talented just without the resume.

Pumped for Monday also.

cheapest tix now 300 NOT including the crazy fees so with that they gotta be over 350

He threw 120 pitches and they could need him to turn around on 3 days.

That was one of the best playoff pitching performances in Met history - maybe the best.

Degrom proved he is the ace of the staff. Incredible outing. Still can't believe he out pitched Kershaw.

My favorite playoff pitching performance was Al Leiter's 2 hit shutout over the Reds.

. He is not pitching on 3 days rest and in any playoff you win the game in front of you, tomorrow will take care of itself. Obviously it worked out fine for the Mets. Having said that, I give no credence to pitch counts, IMO they are nonsense because 100 pitches has become the magic number for ALL pitchers which makes no sense on any level. It is funny to me that with all the emphasis on year round and state of the art conditioning, modern medicine, etc. yesterday's athletes had less injuries and were more durable than today's. Several reasons for that but IMO and many others the complete emphasis on one sport at way too early an age plays a big part but that is another discussion.

You are assuming Matz is starting game 4? I didn't have a problem with him coming out then. Had the ump and Cuddyer not kept screwing him I could have easily thrown a full game. He got it into the 8th and gave it to the finishers.
