Mets

Will the Mets or the Yankees ever win another game this season? Was so amped up for post season but all these late season losses has dampened my enthusiasm somewhat.

just bought tix 1st home game. Didn't stub hub used to have their fees in the price of the ticket or did their fees get higher to where now I notice ? Freaking fees are insane now.

Vividseats was a little cheaper

I think you can click to see what the total price of seats are with fees.

I assume this the latest in the regular season a playoff-bound team has ever been no-hit?

Mets fielded a B-team lineup but Scherzer did pitch a great game. I wonder what the record is for total strikeouts in a 9 inning game. I would have thought yesterday might have broken the record whatever it is.

For the record, Scherzer struck out 17, but Met pitchers struck out 18 Nats

I did when I was about to complete the transaction and the fees came out to about 20% of the price of the ticket added onto the price. Holy crap. Multiply that by 4 tix and we were going to get ripped off. Vivid charged also but their price per ticket was almost $20 lower per ticket for the same type of seats

Just make sure to go to vividseats.com. I typed in vivid.com and it's a porn site

I'm very familiar with vivid :)

offense is limping into the post season but at least our starting pitching finishes strong

Got my Rangers playoff tix (vs. Blue Jays). Wouldn't it be great to see a Mets-Rangers WS? Unlikely... but this has been a great season for both teams, neither picked to make win their division.

If the mets make the world series it might be cheaper for me to fly out there and go to the game with you there than buy for citifield :)

Where was Scherzer when the season was on the line and the Mets rolled into town and swept the Nats? Who cares about the no hitter in a meaningless game.

In 1986 Mike Schmidt won the MVP with a second half offensive barrage. By July, the Mets were so far out in front (they won 108 games), that all of Schmidts meaningful at bats (mostly whiffs) occurred while there was still a season. Voters are often biased and dumb, but you are dead on here. Then again Scherzer had a great year, but got bad support.

Scherzer's performance is like an A-Rod moment. Strikes out with the bases loaded and the tying runs on base, but hits two homers in a game the Yanks are already up by 6 runs and the game is already over.

Nationals manager canned

That should have happened at least two months ago. Maybe the Nats would have won the division if that had happened.

I agree that Williams was not a good manager but the Nats disfunction runs much deeper than blaming it on him. They reeked of overconfidence all year and that stems back to the Strasberg incident when their officials announced that his sitting in the playoffs was justified because that were going to be a dynasty.

Oh, I think that Rizzo should have been gone too, FTR. The acquisition of Papelbon was a total disaster (and was unnecessary, IMo).

Looks like we'll be up late this weekend. Friday 9:45 first pitch. Saturday 9:07. Monday has yet to be announced, just bought my tickets last night hoping it's a prime-time affair!
