Mets

It's definitely not all Terry's fault. The organization as a whole has taken the approach in general that we want our players to hit for power, draw walks, etc. I fear this emphasis has sabotaged players like Conforto's career. Why not let players play the game the way they've been playing their entire lives. Conforto a year ago this time was looking like the next Carlos Gonzolez from the left side, and now he looks like he doesn't know how to swing a bat up in the bigs.

On the flip side, no one is to blame for Jay Bruce other than Sandy Alderson and Bruce himself. The guy makes Jason Bay look like a great acquisition.

As for yesterday, I don't know what Terry was thinking. He had Ty Kelly and Eric Cambpell in a massive late September game at the same time. He messes with the lineups far too often and its destroyed a few players' confidence/ability to get in rhythm.
Its a disgrace that Conforto is not playing instead of Bruce. Bring in De Aza if you want as late inning defense replacement. Terry has to many choices. Isn't the entire 40 man roster up now?

Can anyone say "Dan Augustine"? Playoff races can turn on a single play.

I don't generally second guess managerial moves, but why, with two outs and ducks on the pond, do you replace solid hitter Lowney with Kevin Plawecki? You know, the buck eighty nine Kevin Plawecki, the no hits in the bigs in 3 months Kevin Plawecki. All you need is a walk, and I saw some swings at some pitches out of the zone (especially good night). I think Lowney was a better bet to lay off pitches like those. And I don't want to hear righty lefty male bovine waste product, that's nonsense when the guy you're sending up is hitting 80 points lower than the guy he's replacing.

If we lose tonight and there's no bonus baseball this year, this is one of those games that's going to haunt me. The winter winds will be colder, the cold November rain will be more stinging, I will never get over losing the love of my life, Stephanie Seym... Uh, never mind.

Collins worst move of the night was replacing Reed with Smoker, lefty against lefty. The only problem here was lefties are hitting .381against Smoker before he gave up a hit to Freeman. The night before Reed struck out Freeman on a slider and Smoker walked in the winning run. And you replace one of the best relievers in the game with this loser. Now I don't care if they fire Collins.

My gut tells me they won't fire him but who knows. Pretty sure I'm one of his biggest detractors. Wonder if other fans detest his managerial skills.

Freeman's exit velocity was like 2 mph on that bloop hit. Collins is shaky but team has not hit. Bruce is a disaster and so is d'Arnoud

I think he sucks but now with Wally gone I think he definitely comes back

I think that most hardcore Met fans are extremely frustrated by him and would be happy to see him gone. I think if they make the playoffs with the injuries they have had, he will definitely stay unless he wants to retire. If they play well this last ten games and just miss out, he likely will stay. If they implode and especially if he continues to make mistakes, then the Mets have to make a decision. Either way next year should be his last as I don't think he would want to continue once his contract is up.

I think casual Met fans are ok with him because they made they made the World Series last year and they might make the playoffs again with an injury riddled team.

Last night's game was a microcosm of the 2015-16 season where the mets won in spite of their manager. Great win! It will continue to take Herculean efforts to overcome Terry. Great job burning our only bullpen assets right out. Reed and Familia getting knocked around on the count of Terry throwing them out there every day. Have to hope the home runs from last night carry over into final week and playoffs become a reality.

July 30, 2015 - Mets blow a big lead to the Padres, lose 8-7. Most crushing loss of the year. Insert fork, they' re done.
July 31, 2015 - Happy birthday Harry! Wilmer Flores hits a walk off, Mets beat the Senators 2-1 in 12. Mets go on a roll!

September 22, 2016 - Mets give one away to Hotlanta, 4-3. Worst loss of the year. Spocky Ramone is heading for the utensil drawer.
September 23, 2016 - Mets give it away. Again. And again. AC puts a charge in one, and the Mets beat the Phillies in extra frames.

Will there be a parallel? LGM!

I;m going saturday with Weathermannyc. Oh man this is gonna be a big game

I will also be in attendance. YUGE series.

Huge win last night. If we witness a Gilmartin win tonight then anything is possible :) Hopefully Conforto keeps the bat going
