Max Hooper

Unless he can prove some hardship I would imagine Max would have to go D2 or lower. Otherwise he'd have to sit out another year and then have just one remaining. Of course this is all pending him actually transferring.

he's not graduating early, right? Maybe some summer classes gets him the graduate provision and we haven't heard about it yet? I have no idea, just throwing it out there.

I think that only applies if you graduate with your class. Not if you graduate early. Could be wrong but it's specifically called the 5th year graduate transfer provision I think.

Are we just thinking that Lawrence and Calhoun (I've been wondering what Mason everyone was talking about) are looking to transfer? Calhoun wouldn't announce anything until his season is over but Lawrence season is done.

I want Sampson to stay. I really like the kid as a person and as a player. He was disappointing at best this year. He didn't do the things a team needs a four to do..it's that simple. Football reference for Moose and Mase....I don't care if a RB breaks 4-5 dazzling runs a game if he can't conistently get me 3+ consistently, block in passing situations, and protect the ball. A good RB has to do those things FIRST before he can be great. Sampson didn't do the things he had to do well and did the other stuff very well.

There have been rumors all year for the three of them. I can't see Calhoun returning. Mason returning is almost out of the question. Lawrence seems like a likely transfer as well.

He must've had not many friends if he bolted the second Karr declared...
 
Max never did seem to fit in with the team IMO, he got no playing time, he didn't fit are style of play and his best friend is leaving for the pro's this year. This shouldn't be a surprise or big deal to anyone.
 
What does all this do to our apr? I really hope karr finishes his classes for the semester but that feels unlikely

Asked same question of Moose today, who reminded me Sampson indicated he would finish semester. Big issue if he doesn't I agree.

So Max is giving up a full year of eligibility just to get the hell out of here? Not a very good sign.
