Max Hooper

Hooper does have two years of eligibility left. I spoke to him today in class. No word on where he is going though.
When you see him again can you ask him the following questions? How did it feel that everyone wrongly blamed you for the double OT loss to Providence when if you or some other scoring option were in the game on offensive possessions down the stretch, when nobody could score, instead of Pointer the game would not have gotten to that point. Why didn't Jordan play down the stretch of the double OT loss? What happened to make every player on this team decide to supposedly run for the hills now? Why is your buddy Jakarr having delusions of grandeur, does he really believe that he will be drafted or he just wants out?. Does Gene Keady make fun of Lavin's coaching abilities behind closed doors? What really happened with Oblockpa in the BET? What's the real reason the team seemed to not care in the Providence and Robert Morris games? Does it bother you that you get no PT on a team where nobody can hit the side of a barn with a jump shot? Does it piss you off that everyone says you get no PT because you are a slow footed defensive liability on a team with no one on one defensive stoppers? Are the classes at St. John's really tougher than at Harvard? Does God's Gift think he's all that? Let us know if you get any good answers. Thanks in advance.

While you're at it, since Hooper went to Harvard, could you have him take a look at this post and correct the run on sentences and grammar to actually be understood by English speaking humans? Thanks. :)
Sorry, I guess it must be the SJU education. I guess judging by some of your posts that you never heard the expression, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Please explain this: How did it feel that everyone wrongly blamed you for the double OT loss to Providence when if you or some other scoring option were in the game on offensive possessions down the stretch, when nobody could score, instead of Pointer the game would not have gotten to that point.

I don't think even Mickey Rivers could understand what you are trying to say.

Just noticed that he's getting about 24 minutes a game and averaging 8.1 points and putting up 7.1 threes a game and hitting 37%. That 7.1 number is inflated because he went 7-17 from three in one game against Georgia State.

I wonder if Hooper or Larry Wright will end up with a better Oakland career

Hooper was all over the Internet yesterday when word of his stat line this year got out. Oakland is also having a good season so far.

There was even an article on Barstool Sports yesterday about him (for the younger crowd).

They play #1 Michigan State tonight on ESPNU. They have a 5-9 point guard averaging 25 points and 9 assists a game. They also just got back another one of their top players.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound guard has always built his game on outside shooting. Last season, just eight of his 167 field-goal attempts were two-point shots, and the season before that, only three of 65. He knows his strength—and his deadly long-range shooting could earn him looks from NBA scouts as a three-point specialist.

That was stated in the above article. I can't see how anyone who's watched him play thinks he's NBA material, even as a specialist. He's super slow and can't guard anyone....

Playing Michigan State without injured Denzel Valentine in Auburn Hills . Hooper had food poisoning today and is still playing. Drained a long 3. Pretty good game so far 29-19 Oakland.

Hooper looks like a different player. Has hit 3 threes. Looks leaner and quicker. Oakland up 50-37 at half

This is a great team for him to be on. The point guard is one of the top players in the country and the shooting guard is pretty good as well.
