EVERYONE gave 100% Yakwae and AA showed they will be fine BE players in the future. Coach even stopped chewing for awhile as the game did him proud. Those who have given up rooting this year should not post next year the words I remember when

Yakwe will be a fan favorite & very good BE player. Amar, however, is a nice kid, but doubt with Owens, Freudenberg, Sima & Yakwe in power slots, he will see much light next season. This level in my opinion is too fast for him.

Just finished watching the game on delay.....fantastic effort....Yakwe is going to be a force!!....we look so much better than we did a month ago....no random "weaving" on offense....or throwing the ball around and heaving up a shot when the shot clock is about to expire....even though we're not winning, this team is so much more entertaining and WAY less frustrating than the past few teams....and those questioning whether Chris can coach need to have their head examined.....

Wilson hit two big threes and our guys could not match it. Great effort.

And we're more than one year away.

It takes a new staff four years to establish a strong program where bad games are infrequent.

With the year of experience under their belt, all of the returning kids should be solid contributors at the very least. Maybe a kid like Sima goes from "solid contributor" to "star". Add in Lovett, Ponds and Ahmed and you've got the nucleus of a middle of the pact Big East team and likely NIT participant. I would gladly take that as part of our re-building process. Now if we get Fruedenberg and /or Rawle, then expectations rise slightly. The following year I am expecting an NCAA bid. Any way you slice(no pun intended) it, we are headed in the right direction.

Really? I enjoyed the hell out of that game.

So did I, just pointing the time we should have a competitive, deep squad. Don't take me too seriously. I have been at this far longer than you, so humor works for me through growing pain period.

Maybe not longer but I get your point. Been a fan back to Frankie Alagia

They played well but just couldn't hit the shots that 2nd half stretch. Would have been nice to steal one. Oh Well. At least we covered the point spread

I believe that the covering of the spread automatically qualifies the game as a "moral victory"

It could be a lot worse. We could have coach Willard.

I am man enough to own my opinions when they are wrong but I am never so classless as to gloat. Should have asked you for the powerball numbers Einstein

As a kid, followed Tony Jackson team & am a 69 grad.

I too am looking forward to next year but I am not giving up on some upsets this year. This team has growing talent, they seem to be settling into a system and they are competitive most of the time.

That being said I am looking forward to About mid-December of next year when the next new batch are finally settling into the system and the doomsdayers begin to quiet down, as they spend longer frames of time contemplating metaphorical ways to continue to futilely compare what's going on right now to the Jarvis/Roberts/Lavin era.

Talk about doing it with mirrors.......................
We really have 1, maybe 2 BE caliber players on the current roster.
We'll have 4 more come October.
Very excited for the future.

I think there are more than 1 or 2. Mussini, Sima, Johnson, Yawke, even Amar with the right system is a BE player

Congratulations to our young stud, Yakwe. 6' 7" athlete blocking and rebounding against Marquette's biggies. Let's remember he played almost a full game. Wow! We have a lot to look forward to. Since I watched several of Marquette's games and expected doom and gloom against the likes of Fischer and Ellenson I am really enjoying the play of this young team. One thing we can be happy with is our individual improvements and the experience these young guys are getting.

And perhaps a fifth year transfer with some luck. The key, as my ex friend Moose & I discussed recently, is having a quality point guard. LoVett should fill that bill hopefully.

What system is that for Amar? Nice kid, who hustles, but won't see much time next season.

Agree. Hasn't been hitting the three lately.

Jack, does Yakwe remind you of David Russell a bit? David was a more skilled lefty early in development & less of a power guy, but for whatever reason, I think of DR when I see Yakwe.
