I remember the late Sonny Dove as a sophomore and Yakwe reminds me of his athleticism.

But light-years behind in his skills level.

I don't know what's with all the comparisons - I don't get it. He looks like Berry, but not as a player but in mannerisms? He looks like Dove, or whomever. To me with that damned headband he looks too much like Durand Johnson, and without the benefit of a 60 inch screen 3 feet from me and a DVR to freeze play, I'm asking the guy next to me a couple of times per game who just scored the last layup. But that comparison has a lot more to do with the fact that I am blind, which makes a lot of you guys I've met look a lot better.

In a lot of ways he looks skilled. He definitely knows how to play the game, and appears he can be effective 12 feet and in. Rugged enough to grab rebounds, block shots, guard his man. Doesn't appear to take wild shots, or shots out of his range. I don't think its being overly gratuitous by saying he's going to get better and better, and I believe he will be a valuable piece of any squad Mullin can field over his tenure here.

And I would like to see him drive from the foul line, whether facing or having his back to the basket. Mucho speed.
