@Marquette, Sat., Feb. 10, 6p, FS-1

I’ll assume each individual player will be back until they enter the portal.

There are a ton of minutes being vacated with Jenkins, Dingle, Alleyne, and Ledlum leaving. Pitino likes playing Luis at the 4. He’s not going to find a better situation at the high major level.

Pitino will likely tell him “sorry kid we disnt have the guards to play the type of game I recruited you for.”
I think it’s more tasteful to keep that assumption, so fair enough. But I just get the sense Taylor is playing a lot more scared and defeated now compared to November.

How is Taylor someone you decide to single out? He played four minutes!

I agree with the rest of your post 100%
He played four minutes for the reason I stated. He provides ZERO offensive threat.
For all of RJ's faults, the kid looks to attack, attack, attack.
Today we let one player beat us. Pitino needs to do a better job of assigning a "stopper" in such games.

He was our best three point shooter earlier in the season.

Taylor’s problem is between the ears. You have to have the mentality to be an offensive threat as much as talent. Same applies to Soriano. We seem to have been blessed with this type of player throughout the years.
On this team, only two players appear to have the ability to create with the ball in their hands.....Jenkins and Luis. Everyone else needs to be set up. Dingle and Ledlum try but don't have the versatility needed at this higher level. Their problem is not between the ears but in their feet. Neither had the foot speed against the faster players defending them in this game.

Frustrating when in the first half you are passing well, rebounding well and shooting well. Then in the second half you turn into DePaul.
When the good shooting stops, we just don't have a good enough defense to make defensive stops to overcome our bad shooting. Narrative for this game and others this year. Teams that can't make defensive stops when they need to lose close games.

Kolek is a Assassin at this level of College BB and I think he can play at the next level . Left Handed players who shoot , dish the ball and run a team are rare . Kolek is all that and more .
