He still talks about changing the “bad culture” recently, as if he were referring to the current group, or situation, not just the past.As I remember, Coach made that case before the season started.

The "culture" he was referencing in the recent press conference was very different. He was talking about the general culture in college basketball resulting from NIL & the free transfer rule which makes it very difficult to build continuity in a team. It was not intended at to be St. John's specific or any reflection on his players. He still talks about changing the “bad culture” recently, as if he were referring to the current group, or situation, not just the past.
If that’s the case, that’s a different story and I would actually tend to agree although initially, Pitino seemed all on board with that and even mentioned that he would have no problem adapting to it.The "culture" he was referencing in the recent press conference was very different. I think Pitino was ok with NIL, it's the new free transfer rule on top of the NIL that makes it difficult to keep players. If that’s the case, that’s a different story and I would actually tend to agree although initially, Pitino seemed all on board with that and even mentioned that he would have no problem adapting to it.
I’m not saying hurt him, I’m saying if your going yo foul him on his little scoop shot, make sure he doesn’t make it, and one. Instead of a weak blow by bump, make sure the ball doesn’t go up. It’s still the Big East. The days of fouling hard to send a message are basically over. If you breath hard on someone they spend 5 minutes reviewing it on the monitor to see if it was a flagrant.
plus 1I'd tell you and everyone in your camp to list the mistakes, but as soon as you guys list Wusu, Storr, and Posh, it's clear there's no point to the conversation.
He was looking a year ahead when recruiting the likes of Ejiofor, Luis, and Taylor, kids who would have been essentially forced to stay. It was a great recruiting strategy.I think Pitino was ok with NIL, it's the new free transfer rule on top of the NIL that makes it difficult to keep players.
Hey Boo, guess the season's over. Can’t emphasize this enough — we will go as far as Soriano takes us. If we can’t get him right then season is over.
Our players have been openly fighting on the court for a month. The announcers mentioned it twice today and Luis snapped at Pitino. And one kid on the whole team plays good defense. Pitino has been knocking their effort all season. The culture doesn’t seem to be good at all.The "culture" he was referencing in the recent press conference was very different.
