Lovett

Wow!, I understand thew frustration; add me to the list of those who are frustrated, BUT we are one serious injury from having possibly 4 to 5 Big East wins. We have a good class coming in. Move back from the ledge and like we ask of the team keep fighting. "Things are darkest before the dawn" I hope :)

I thought the darkest days under Mullins was 2 years ago, 1-17. Shit, this year (year 3) might be worse, we could go 0-18. But, yeah I know, Lovetts injury. ahhhhhh

I think it is silly to believe that this injury had no effect on this teams record. Are there shortcomings to this team, depth and size, yes, but we are not this bad with Lovett in the line up.
 
look this has more to do with LOVETT using him is an excuse. HE was good but not that good . Like I said, lets stop looking at him like he was Michael JORDAN THE REASON WE ARE IN THIS POSITION has little to do with LOVETT

The really befuddling thing is, with him, we are a pretty good team and the three guards are a big problem for opponents.

Staff deserves it's fair share of blame, no doubt. But there is no question in my mind that we'd have at least four or five more wins if LoVett were healthy.
 
If we had Mussini to step in for Lovett, even Ellison, then the falloff wouldn't have been so precipitous. Instead we got Brian Trimble, Yakwe, Ali on the bench which you cannot win games with.
 
Our record is reflective of NOT who is out there busting their chops playing, but who is NOT out there. That includes LoVett, Wilson, the guys who transferred out, and the guys that were never brought in. These kids are burnt out on the floor, you can see it. The lack of depth is the major defincency and the staff is to blame for that, ALL of them! sorry fellas

Wonder if attending class is in the mix. ?

At this point, I'm more concerned with whether the rest of the team sides with Lovett or is pissed with him. Because I want them to be absolutely furious.

Isn't the lack of depth from them not being here, though? We lost a star guard, and a freshman who may have been starting by now.

You aren't being realistic if you are complaining that there weren't stars on the bench to take their place. This is St. John's, not Duke or Kentucky.
 
Lovett is not a warrior. He is being a baby not playing. His injury can’t be that bad if the staff and top notch doctors expected him back this season. I would banish him from the team.
 
He’s a player and wants to play. And on some level, he realizes he let his buddies down. Think decision was his dad’s ‘doing’. Guessing the kid regrets it...to some degree.

Marcus LoVett tells us he’s not sure if he will be back at @StJohnsBBall next season. Said he’s not sure what will happen.
