Lovett

Gates graduated from Marquette. Has a son playing college ball in Texas

Agee was arrested for hitting a woman last December
He is living in Chicago

Agee's dad and Gates' brother have also been murdered since the film.

That is terrible news . But, it shows how dangerous Chicago is and a shame the City Government is powerless to stem the violence . The film did address the fact that Agee’s Dad had Drug Problems , which often leads to disastrous consequences . Gates’s Brother also had issues . Tough place to live , Chicago .

I could care less about Lovett. If he didn’t want to come back then he should have left after last season. But, to stop playing after a BS injury because you’re afraid to get injured again and screw your Teamates and the university who agreed to give you a free education is lowdown move. I honestly think we would be 4-3 in the league right now if he were playing.

Mean gene. You said it perfectly
Yes a lot of players left but Marcus Lovett hurt his teammates n university. He's that hurt to not play any more

Not a done deal yet. Still a possibility that he may come back next season

Would be shocked after quitting on the team this year. He’s not even attending games anymore.

Don't think he comes back. But maybe him and his dad aren't generating the kind of interest they were expecting? Hopefully pride doesn't get in the way of Lovett returning if he wants too next season.

Reading between Palutz's lines (maybe a dangerous proposition) either (i) he has stopped going to class and destroyed his eligibility, (ii) he's told the staff he is moving on and maybe has a commitment to do so or (iii) he's pissed off the staff by the way he and his father have dealt with this situation, and the staff has moved on leaving him no opportunity to come back.

I thought Paultz posted earlier that the staff wouldn't allow him to come back next year even if he wanted to. Your first and second suppositions may be correct as well, but sounds like the staff has had enough.

He went to 4 different high schools. I remember posting this before and being bashed, and said will see. Another Obeka !

Strangers things have happen. Who thought Lamont Hamilton would return after being suspended for the rest of the season of the Pittsburgh incident. Or Harrison after he was suspended for the rest of the season during his sophomore year?

That being said (or written), I have to believe in Paultz's statement that he is not coming back next year. He probably has been told he can of course finish out this semester on scholarship and he may continue to "rehab" his injury but other than that, he is not allowed to participate in any more basketball activities and his scholarship for next year will not be renewed.

Why can't they (or won"t they) come out and say that publicly. Heck, the announcers reference him before every game as being out for the rest of this season, not gone permanently.

I would be afraid if he returns, we use up a scholarship, he would get a hang nail and miss half the season.

With the way I see it. He f'ed the team and choosing not to play, they're now 0-9.
It doesn't matter how good they are if they f'ed their team over, they need to go byebye.

That's an untrue statement based on conversations I've had.

Beast, wait, so the staff is ‘open’ to him coming back next year? Damn, I hope not. IF they’re ‘open’ to him coming back and he’s healthy—have him come back this year to help salvage our Season. Then he can go out on an up note after this year.

Mullin is not renewing his scholarship next year. If he did he would look like a horse's ass. I know ML registered for the Spring semester but it remains to be seen if he attends his classes. I'm sure he didn't attend the Creighton game because he was doubling up on his library time.;)
