Longwood Game

We should also not be playing that match up zone. It's obvious the team doesn't understand the principles of the defense. We should be pressing and when we have to play half court defense we should be playing man to man with our athleticism and depth.

I am coming to the conclusion that our players get paid for blocked shots.
How stupid does it look at 3-4 players jump trying to block one shooter.
If we continue playing like this we finish around .500

That's the way we have to play. Run up and down the floor. our guys can finish on the break. Good finish by Harrison.

Harrison is clanking like crazy.

Poor shooting is contagious. Hooper misses a wide open trey from the top of the key (the easiest shot behind the arc).

If Hooper can't hit a wide open 3 from the top of the key we don't need him out there.

I hate to say it, but I'm beginning to think Max chokes. He's gotten open looks in these games, and he rushes his shot.

Good play by Harrison. He needs to know that he's a targeted man, so he should facilitate more (even, more so when his shot is off).

If you are going with that thinking then we might as well bench Harrison as well....he is 0-5 on all fairly good looks.

I'm wondering the same, Desco. I've seen him miss too many open looks for someone who is a sharpshooter.

Driving aggressively has to become priority #1, #2, and #3 for this team. Whether they drive to score, draw a foul, or draw attention and dish ... the offense doesn't have fluidity unless they penetrate.
