Longwood Game

Wow I hate to admit this but I'm scared... We are not making any progress!!! Talent can only get this program so far
 
Btw don't know if you guys caught the opener to this game: while showing Time Square the commentator says " welcome to St. John's campus 25 miles from Time Square".
Makes us look like we are in the middle of RT110.
I actually googled the distance :) 12 miles
 
Those last 35 seconds we should have held for one but instead got a Jordan jumper and a Layup by Branch. It worked out but these guys aren't thinking

Branch layup came with five seconds left with a running clock while the other team inbounds, they aren't the smartest bunch but no need to condemn them for that.

you missed my point. Jordan had the ball with 35 seconds left and could have held for one and didn't. We got lucky and ended up with 2 baskets

They were trying to get a 2-for-1. Actually, it was smart for Jordan to shoot it quickly. I'll give him credit, as I believe he's a heady player.
 
It really is hard to believe that our 3 point shooting is this bad.
if you threw the ball at the basket from anywhere outside of the three point line fifty times
you would most likely hit as many shots as we have made over the course of the season just
from the law of averages. What are we in this game, one of ten or eleven? it just seems
almost impossible that a collection of young men who have played basketball x hours a day for most of their lives could miss this many times.
Maybe we are overdue for some 50percent range games to balance things out a bit.

If we play like this against a good team, we will be blown out of the game by the 10 minute mark. This is truly the gang that cannot shoot straight
 
Harrison is now missing layups by himself. Blew a good pass by Sanchez.

Seems Harrison is pulling the string on floaters. He did the same on the layup.
