I find positive in everything win or lose.
You are delusional if you think bad mouthing the team or coach brings anything to the board.
Then I question whether you really enjoy sports as a fan. If you associate good feelings with both losing and winning, you dilute the euphoria that accompanies success. You can't possibly enjoy a winning season as much as the rest of us if you're happy win or lose.
And I don't think there's any doubt that many of the posters here come for the purposes of venting in times of frustration, as well as reveling in victory. Camaraderie and community have been forged through the bad years. None of us have the ear of coach Lavin or Monasch, the beauty of RM.com is that I can talk to other fans about the mistakes I see being made (as well as the great plays/decisions).
This site would cease to exist if all we did was come on here and point out the good things after every game.
in life in general I pull positives out of negatives not just in sports.... it helps appreciate things more... just like in sports.... why get upset when they win a game? Why beat a dead horse and statethe obvious about how poorly we've played thus far? I'm happy we won these games since we haven't even started to click yet. It's kids playing a game, not the end of the world of we lose. I'd of course rather they win and win a national championship however I also understand it takes more than a few years to resurrect a dead program. many have lost sight of this fact
Thanks for verifying that you see positives everywhere EXCEPT where people on a web fan board do not share your opinion! According to your sunny disposition those folks are delusional. It is not the end of the world if we lose more games than we win.......it is likely the end of someone's job. You see any positives in that? Maybe you see positives in a company losing value but those that invest financially in that company see nothing funny.
The funniest word of wisdom you attempt is that many here have lost sight of the "fact" that it takes YEARS to resurrect a program!
Note to the rawdog wizard---where have you been the last 10 years?
