I really wonder what happened in Golden State that made the NBA pretty much exile him from coaching. He won 47 and 51 games his last 2 years and obviously coached the players that went on to win all those championships with Kerr. You never hear his name associated with any jobs since he left them.

Malone is too similar to Thibs - of course I remain hair on fire pissed off that they moronically fired Thibs (I need a word for "even more moronically" that goes with "without even having a plan") and thus I would be grudgingly fine with Malone though it is really impossible to root for a Dolan team, sometimes.

I think their attitude is "hit a home run" (in their view, and they already struck out at that) or "find a Joe Mazzulla replica" which means Bryant or Jenkins.

I mean, it might work out for them but it doesn't change the fact that (as my wordless commentary above in this thread implied) they are an absolute clown car of a franchise.

It's as though they feel left out by the Jets chronic embarrassing ineptitude (gee is there a commonality here???) and said "hold my beer so we can be in the laughingstock competition too."

Mark Jackson was a great Johnnie and great NBA player.
He is also a complete nut job at this point.
Sadly both things can be true.
Ron Ron is actually less nuts (and more lovable) than Jackson at this point.

I hope they don't pull a WHA-Bobby Hull thing where they go after Pitino, he gives them a ridiculous number, and the Knicks actually do it and Pitino is essentially forced to take it because it's so ridiculous.
