Knicks

This past decade has been a pretty miserable sports draught in New York. I was born in '91. For favorite athletes in general, I'd probably say Meta World Peace (aka Ron Artest) is #1 for me.

For NY-based ones, Marcus Hatten & Anthony Glover are probably my two favorite Johnnies. I agree completely with deGrom, but since I was young enough, I'd probably default and say Piazza is my favorite Met. I liked McNeil but after that squirrel/rat thing, I'm over it.

I really enjoy Kayvon Thibodeaux on the Giants. Definitely my favorite Giant right now. Gotta say I loved Strahan, Osi, Jacobs. That team was awesome.

Back to the Knicks and the thread...Brunson by far my favorite Knick. Randle probably most frustrating Knick. OG is awesome to watch though, and he may be getting up there... One underappreciated guy was David Lee. He was a lone bright spot on some of those pre-Melo teams.

Lee was a double double machine

The OG trade keeps looking better and better. Perfect player for what this team needed. His game opens space for Brunson and Randle, not to mention his length makes his perimeter defense is very good as well.
Admitted RJ fan here, trade looks like 110% the right move. Did you see the video of OG and RJ side by side during the jump ball in the Knicks raptors game? OB looked noticeably bigger. His size and willingness to play effectively away from the ball has been a game changer.

Anunoby is a tremendous all around basketball player.
He certainly is and after a buddy of mine talked me into watching him, I have watched pretty good chunks of the Nuggets game and the game today. The parts I saw, Butler could do very little against him.
Edit -
However, just saw on the ticker that Butler had 28, so I guess he did some things, to say the least.

Randle took a really bad fall at end of win over Miami. Hope shoulder injury wasn’t too bad as this is best Knick team since Finals team of 1999-2000. I am glad to admit I was about as wrong as I could have been about the trade.
Dislocated right shoulder, i figured it was with the way he called over the trainer, looked like he told him to pop it back in.

do we try and Mikal at the deadline? eff it- go and get Spellman / Paschall / Colin / Bey /Samuels lol
