Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

I still keep hearing about Luis's shin splints. Is it a known fact that the shin splints are still bothering him, or just another excuse(he got a late start, he's gotta get in game condition, he's gotta learn the system, etc etc etc) to explain away his erratic play?
I am sure his practices are different than the rest. So they can be managed seeing that he’s had these issues before. That’s an objective opinion looking in from the outside with a bit of knowledge on the subject. Seems like his play has been worse since.

Announcers said something very similar. He still tries to force things a bit here and there, but by and large he's playing very under control and within the flow of the offense
Maybe rj will have a similar trajectory as storr this year when rj learns to play under control in the structure CRP develops next season for the offense.

Just last week Pitino talked about how he can't get in full practices, if at all, so I'd say yeah.

Also seemed like he was calling out the family for the way they have wanted it handled vs. the way Rick wants it handled.

That's probably when I first started seriously wondering whether there was trouble in paradise and whether we'd be seeing Luis next season.

Omar Stanley has continued to improve his shooting; so far this season 58% from the field, 76% from the line and 38% from three while leading the team in rebounding and blocked shots. Solid player and hard worker.
Not to pick n the guy but I watched and saw him still fumbling easy passes, misses easy looks around the rim etc. He is in the right spot but he is not missed here.

In your opinion. There are many who thought he improved nicely over the course of his 2 seasons at SJU , was not used properly by CMA and would have thrived under Coach Pitino.

That's interesting that their two seasons dovetail. Wonder how may guys play in both and if only free agents are allowed to. NBL salaries are pretty low with a salary cap around $1million for the entire team so I wouldn't be surprised if guys have the right to play elsewhere in the offseason to maximize their earnings.
