I like Vince a lot but it’s not fair to him switching on quick guards. He is a lot longer than Zuby and has less body control.

I think he would play more if in a different defensive scheme. Would be interesting to see how Pitino would play him if he had too.

Richmond is a guy you have to see a lot to fully appreciate. Not a highlight-reel guy. But who you are seeing since league play began is pretty much who he's always been. I have always been a huge fan of his game and how he impacts the game in so many ways. And has zero ego.
 
I've been impressed with him all year. I thought he was insane in the Baylor game...he just ran out of gas. I'll be honest, I did not expect him to be this otherworldly teammate, but that became clear game 1. He's one of the best players in the country and he doesn't have to dominate the ball...that's huge. Him and RJ fit together almost perfectly. He lets RJ take the volume shots and he picks his spots more carefully. And it works.

He also makes everyone better on defense because there isn't a better or more versatile wing help defender in the country. He'll get beat from time to time on speed in space, but he is an absolute demon around and in the paint on both sides of the ball.

With Richmond and RJ we have 2 guys who can impose their will.It is very difficult to consistently win at an elite level without someone who has the ability to overwhelm his defender (I.e., a go to guy)…We have 2…special year…special team

I was one who was puzzled by his lack of OUTWARD emotion…but, I am so impressed with the way this young man carries himself and his focus on team…his comments during press conferences are a model for all…concise, but insightful and to the point

Agree, I completely underestimated the kind of team player he is. I think the whole episode with him sitting out a few games last year and the speculation around it unduly influenced my initial view of his play with us.

The sitting out thing weighed on my mind a lot more in the offseason. It's laughable I thought he could cause chemistry issues.
