Carmine is about to treat all those fans entering the Garden for the SH game like scabs crossing a union picket line.

Our unfortunate tendency to eat our own should always be called out and exposed for what it is. Remember when Chris Mullin was our coach? Nobody is immune to it.
Yeah not sure what was going on there in the beginning. Maybe he was hurt? But then Rick didn’t play any mind over matter quotes with him in the paper so who knows???

Actually going to go out on a limb and say Kadary lack of hustle in beginning of season and the reaction or really no reaction to it by the fan base and coach was strangest thing I have seen since I have been a fan of a strange program.

But not doing anymore….. So all forgiven.

It all being related to conditioning makes it make sense to me, especially since Rick was publicly critical of it the first couple of months.

You must have skipped over all the “Kadary never dives for a loose ball” posts (and those were some of the toned down comments).

Again not to rehash a problem that is no longer there, but def feel as far as Rick there was some def tread lightly because of Repole factor going on.
As far as some people on here down playing it or ignoring it, that was plain weird. But then again there was a pretty large faction of people on here that did the same with Norm, so…..
But again unlike Norm, Kadary corrected the issue so let’s go ST John’s.

What do you expect him to publicly say? I thought it was more than pointed enough the first couple months of the season. I also think people in this very thread completely lost their minds on Kadary and overly exaggerated a lot of his faults. Rick in a press conference even said that he's underappreciated by fans.

I defended Kadary this entire year. The conditioning and free throws were the only two things that bothered me. I think the hustle stuff was blown completely out of proportion.

Agree, fact is he was not conditioned sufficiently per staff, but got there committing to tough regimen during the season, end of story.

Last post on this. Compare Rick public stance on Kadary with how has handled Smith.

Not sure how a player getting paid close to 7 figures reporting out of shape is not an issue worth discussing but to each his own. Richmond getting in shape in- season is certainly to be commended and he is without a doubt a heckuva player but it does not change what was one bit.
So to all those who want to disparage those of us who called him out (including his coach) or even worse make believe what was clear on the court never really “was that bad”, FWIW, I for one wave the BS flag.

Who said it wasn't worth discussing? I myself said it was disappointing. It's not an excuse, it's just a fact. He was winded too much in games which hindered him being aggressive & got caught halfway for loose balls, he got cramps at the end of a couple games in which he couldn't close for us. It was pretty brutal.

But people on this very thread were questioning his competitive spirit. That was absolutely ridiculous.

Did I address my comment to you? If I do, it will be addressed to you personally.

Kadary is 11/16 in last four games from charity stripe, 7/8 in last two. Going to need that the rest of the way.
The conditioning a big factor methinks. I'd expect him to work his way back to his career average. He will also become more confident taking the ball at the end of games when he doesn't have to worry about getting hacked on purpose to put him on the line.

He and RJ are a very good duo creating their own shots. I do favor Kadary for sure because he is always a threat to pass and is always under control.
