Kadary

Tell you what though, and I love Sim and Dev. Big time. But imagine the usual starting 5 but with "he who shall not be named" play in a 2-guard role with KR and the usual front line?
He would ruin this team. Guys would be competing for looks. Bad news. He also couldn’t stop anyone. Deivon is chaos on defense and Wilcher dogs players. Defense is our identity.

If I could grab one player from last year it would be Nahiem Alleyne. If I could grab a second player it would be Soriano for 5 minutes.

As Clark Kellogg likes to say, Kadary is a “stat stuffer” most of which occur at critical times. I felt he had to get in prime shape and he did. I totally under appreciated his game and impact, mea culpa.
Vince had a giant swat and a pretty finger roll yesterday. Not disputing previous play but I believe there's something there to develop.

Said it since Day 1, but it is so great to know that with under five minutes, we can just get the ball in his hands & we can be rest assured that he’ll get us the best shot available. It is a luxury to have him, Luis and Smith.

Kadary will win us games in March.
I know Section3 will love this:

It recalls the days when George Johnson would take over the end of games.

On multiple occasions our point guard switched off to the leagues (country?) best center in the post and proceeded to alter his shot or strip him underneath. Might not be another PG in the country capable of that. Plus big shots, big rebounds, and big free throws late. In conference play alone, he’s 1st team all BE.

Uh oh. You have opened the spigot to the Marillac floodgates.
Anytime we can get neutral minutes from bench players, I am happy to give credit. Vince was +3 yesterday in 4 minutes. That’s huge for us. He finally stayed in the lane instead of chasing the big man deep onto the perimeter and that allowed him to legitimately challenge a shot and pick up a block.

Pitino was quicker with the hook…which I love. Play him 90 seconds to 2 minute spurts 1-2x a game.

Are you referring solely to Kadary here? Smith battled Kalk as well and didn’t back down at all. Kadary had the clean strip under the basket. That’s just what he does.

Yes KR had strip in the second. Block in the first. Smith is fantastic, but KR could legit guard kalk in the post and have a chance.

I didn’t notice what thread this was posted to or it would have answered my question😆

I think Richmond could have more than chance against any big man. He’s got exponentially better hands than every 4 or 5 in the country. That’s his massive advantage in every back down situation with big men.
