I wonder witch gay member of Redmen sold him outhttp://www.outsports.com/2015/1/30/7943221/rysheed-jordan-st-johns-gay-twitter-fag
I post with my real name, so you can make your remark at me. B)
This isn't exactly secret stuff. While yes, I was the first person to point out that Rysheed was posting what can be deemed as offensive tweets (he also posted a tweet that was racial/sexist in nature but took it down), I didn't give the story to anyone. It was seen by a mutual follower of mine and Outsports who then found the tweet, and it was picked up by Outsports. I am friends with both the person that picked it up and I know the writer as well.
I will own that I was the first person that tweeted about Rysheed's tweets and it likely got picked up because I found it and tweeted about it. But blame the person that tweeted what he did and the people that have likely enabled or allowed the behavior despite knowing he's a loose cannon. And next time you don't have to feel like you have info on Deep Throat. You may direct your post at me.
I'm not picking a fight with you, so don't think I am, but is your disclosure of this tweet have anything to do with the fact that you work for CBS Sports? Some could interpret your disclosure pf the Jordan tweet as either a deep personal affront, or to further your career, or both.
No, I don't even work full-time at CBS and if I wanted to further my career I would've given this story to someone at CBS or a reporter.
Here is my tweet from early Thursday morning:
RT @TheoRabinowitz
#sjubb player posting racial/homophobic/sexist slurs & challenging people to fights on Twitter. How lovely.
The Saunders basketball coach, who follows me and saw my tweet, found Rysheeds and posted it:
Outsports follows him and picked it up. In fact, I actually think the OTHER tweet that was posted was far worse than the gay slur one because he was actually challenging someone to a fight and used the b-word to describe his girlfriend and the n-word as well.
And to answer MrGoogle's question I don't find the word offensive myself but I do think it is extremely dumb for a public figure to use on social media.
Thanks for taking my post in the manner in which it was intended. Before you got slammed I wanted you to be able to explain yourself. You are a good poster, and didn't want you run off by stupidity.
for the record, I agree with you about stupid posts. University life for an inner city kid is a fantastic opportunity to grow if you take advantage of the social opportunities. Over the past 10 years through athletic department events I've had the chance to meet and interact with many former players, now adults. To a person they are gracious, communicative, and as representative of the best SJU has to offer, are great ambassadors for the school and themselves. I hope Rysheed doesn't blow the opportunity to grow beyond the hardwoods.
