How the intercourse am I going to make fun of Chris Mullin.
The signing of his contract could be like the redmen.com peace accords[/quote}
Brilliant!

Do not need to worry about Chris leaving for bigger college job down the line.
Congrats & Best Wishes
There are more rumors that Calipari will be out and Slice joining Mullin. Briscoe to follow?
The Lavin haters love it. But they are blinded by their hatred of Lavin. This is the WRONG move, if true. Not cut out to recruit or coach.
I think we all understand who is in play for for the recruiting spots, but any thoughts as to who is in play for x's and o's?

And you know this how?
Here's a few things to consider:
1) This wasn't about having nothing to do. He had a job with the Kings.
2) This wasn't even about getting the best coaching opportunity - he was offered a pro job coaching the Kings and turned it down.
3) This wasn't about the money. He could certainly have made more in Sacramento.
4) To me, this was about two things, and two things only
a) Coming home, and
b) Restoring our program
a) will be achieved as soon as he inks his deal. It is where he belongs.
b) won't be easy, but I am confident he can do it. I'll be there when he does, and so will most of you.
Congratulations St. John's and Bobby G. You made your first decision a bold one.
I hope I'm terribly wrong, but I see this as a gimmicky hire based on nostalgia and wanting to make a big splash. Not a diligent consideration of all of the possibilities.
Respect Chris Mullin as a person and he's one of the best ever at St. John's, but who knows whether this will work. We needed a sure bet. Just because Fred Hoiberg did it in Iowa doesn't mean it can be done in New York. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
Unfortunately I'm getting the same feeling. Then again, no perfect candidate existed
Step 3 - Staff
That's the key. Needs a recruiter and x and o guy. I hope the school gives him all resources he needs.
Have faith on that
@TimBontemps: However, @HowieKussoy writes Barry Rohrrsen could join Mullin's staff. Would be a heck of a place for him to start:http://t.co/t9SlPJzTCm

Then again, maybe he couldn't. Has Mullin ever expressed any interest in hiring Rohrrsen ... or anyone else? Not likely. More like everyone throwing out names that they would like to bring here.
