Jon Rothstein: Mullin Likely To Take SJU Job

Also included in the CBS link from the original post, which I think we all knew already:

Sources say it's highly unlikely that Rysheed Jordan and Chris Obekpa -- two players who started this year for the Red Storm -- will wind up returning next season.

Jordan is delusional and Obekpa will rot away on someone's bench for a year.

All the best to them but we're moving on.

Agree man!
if people dont know that pic from paultz that looks to be 1 of our next coaches who happens to be btw have been recruiting diallo

Is that Matt?
yes. big time up and comer

What are the odds that the Ticket Office will be deluged with people wanting to buy season tickets tomorrow ??

If Redmen.Com is any indication, they will be swamped.

If this is true...I'm as elated as when Lavin was hired. I mean really elated..

Me too and we will own the headlines. Heck you know that already you are the newsman !!

As expected lukewarm reaction from espn comment section (aka casual fans who wanted Jackson). I'll hold off judgment for next few weeks. Want to see how class pans out.

If so all good lets all rally behind school for making decision. You all know he wiil give it all to bring us back where we belong . It's like a enema for the program lets take this like a cleansing and get back to where we where . We are St. John's ! Let's Go Redmen !

Yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!
No matter what happens, we know there isn't a person alive whose heart will be in St. John's basketball more than Chris Mullin's will be. That is an amazing feeling.

Welcome home, Chris.

I've read all the comments and opinions and I will say this, I wouldn't bet against Chris Mullin when it comes to anything regarding basketball. I think this is a great hire and I am very excited. I also think that as far as recruiting is concerned, the NY High School and AAU basketball communities will funnel players his way. Everyone has nothing but respect and admiration for him. Let's get this done.

If anyone knows about second chances it's Chris. I think CO will have a tough time turning Chris down if he hears him out Jordan could stand to learn an awful lot from Chris as well. If they return, great. If not, wish them well and we'll be fine.

@NYPost_Brazille: Top recruit Brandon Sampson is "intrigued" by potential hire of Chris Mullin by #sjubb, wants to sit down with him when official, per source
