Too much baggage to carry for the lady for Jermaine. Kid now has to carry his own load but it remains to be seen if he is talented enough to carry these lightweight teams. Obviously wants to go from lonesome rider of the pine to the lone ranger. We need "team" players not puppets.

Several of us said it as soon as it was announced he was transferring, "she" is the issue. Period.

Lavs is not perfect. But he will not sell this program out for anyone (Tiny, "She" etc.).
 
Is he actually filming a doc? Can a player film a doc while in college or is that abusing his status. I hope things work out for the kid but seems like he is getting bad advice. I really hope is is manhattan so we don't have to hear about him from baldi for 3 years!

Good for Coach Lavin. He's not worth the headache if half of what is rumored is true. His list looks like what our newest walkon would have seen.
 
Had a bad sense about this kid. That he was even considering maac schools was suspicious.
Now its obvious he and his handlers are a basket case and were looking for a desperate coach who would jump through any hoop and sell his soul to have this loser on his team.

No NBA scout is going to take the guy seriously for having put up good stats at that level. It would have been better for him as a pro prospect to put up respectable stats against good competition that inflated stats vs garbage teams.

At least he'll have very cinematic-looking highlight tapes from her production company to pass onto NBA teams.
 
Time for me to write "I will not pencil in a recruit to the starting lineup prematurely" 100 times on the blackboard.

On a side note, whatever team he lands on should remind him that KD averaged 11 rpg at Texas.

I wouldn't worry. I think we'll have it worked out by next weekend.
It's good for us that his list is exclusively hometown teams, as the waiver looks completely legit (not saying it isn't).
I know others will go crazy at the notion, but I think Thomas was a bigger need for us.

I didn't need it to be Lawrence (especially considering the red flags), but we really should have brought in another 2014 forward.
 
Pointer can put up two points and two rebounds as a small forward. This guy sounds like nothing but trouble.

I do not understand the hype surrounding this player right now on this board. Sure we need depth and all that, whatever. The same people who complain tons about how all we have is athletes blah blah blah, want Lawrence. He is another athlete. Thomas was a step in the right direction, but then I wanted us to land a guy who can play the 3 and shoot it consistently. Not this guy. I am sorry, but I just do not want him. When news first came out that he wanted out of UC, I was excited. But after looking at stats, multiple past injuries, off court issues, inability to shoot FTs, his longing to be Kevin Durant, and game film I am just not at all thrilled to get him.

I'm all for landing a 6'9 transfer. If he plays like he is 6'9 and gets under the hoop for boards and post moves.

But this nonsense with him wanting to be a 3 and wanting to be KD is just not needed on this team right now.

Listen, none of you guys will probably agree cause we are doing our usual thing here: over hyping recruits/transfers

This guy sounds like another Sanchez who is going to hang around the three point line and not understand his role. If we do get him, great, I hope he proves me wrong, I will gladly eat crow on this if he turns into a great player, but I just am skeptical about this player, and will not be upset in the least if he picks another school.

Just my two cents on this topic, again I hope I am proved wrong.
