I don't know what the Uconn powers that be think of Murray v. Kimani, and that would certainly create an interesting dynamic between the two for the HC opening if Hurley leaves.

Stepping into Hurley's shoes would be no easy task IMO. Talk about the bar being set high. And Uconn will be very careful to avoid another Ollie scenario.

I think they would want a younger, more established up-and-coming HC. Perhaps with Northeast ties.

isn't Murray largely credited with the offense? if so, think hurley would take him and let Kimani lead the Huskies.

Sorry, but trying to compare the Lakers’dysfiunction and UConn’s success as the reason Hurley will turn down LA does not compute.

As a state school, UConn’s best offer can only be so much (Hurley already is the highest paid government employee in CT by a couple of thousand miles), while the Lakers are unencumbered and can triple UConn’s best offer.

Plus, it’s the NBA, and there are only a finite number of those jobs available. Coaches have huge egos and Hurley is certainly no different. He may be convinced he can turn that franchise around in a couple of years.

I cannot stress, Hurley will be making generational wealth. If things implode, who cares? With all that money he can live a stress free life.

He can reopen St. Anthony’s and become their coach and hire his dad and brother as assistants.
He already has generational wealth. Hurley is never going to want to live a stress free life. Based on what I've observed, he will always want to be doing basketball in some capacity. I doubt he'd survive without it.

Nailed it.

And it’s not about the money. He proved that by turning down the kentucky job.
Money may not be the determining factor, but it will play a role. It will come down to the Lakers vs UConn, the NBA vs the NCAA, how comfortable he and his wife are with the move (all jokes aside, she has an role and say in it also) and what his heart wants.

Hurley has been very vocal about his frustrations with the new transfer portal rules and basically having to recruit an entire roster every year. The NBA would offer more stability on that end. I would wager high odds he leaves UConn.

Mike Anderson, Chris Mullin, and norm Roberts are all
Available. This is great news for sju as this late I. The game who are they gonna get?
They are coming off two national championships. I think a lot of guys would jump this late.
