Yes. You’ve already discussed the pros and cons with your spouse before you’ve booked the flight out there and already know the parameters for the deal.
Sorry, maybe that’s what you and your spouse would do, or is it a revelation that people are different?
Or that discussing the pros and cons is not necessarily deciding on them?
Or that there could have been some back and forth as to defining the parameters of the deal on both contracts?
Different strokes makes the world go round, it’s what makes life interesting and challenging.

Well, the Celtics are in the finals, the Knicks and Sixers seem content with their coaches, and the Nets and Wizards just made coaching hires. I don't see where a northeast NBA job is going to be avliable anytime soon.
You make a good point, the timing has to be right, and maybe it won't be for a couple of years

I just think it's been stretched out beyond what it had to be, but to each his own.
Not a fan of Soap Ops, lol.

WFSB, a radio station?

It's been stretched out on this board for sure but I'm not sure 4 days including a weekend is an inordinate amount of time to consider a life changing decision. Those who proposed on the first date can tell me how wrong I am.

Ahhh FFSSSSSSS 🤬

Rick will just have to beat the mental idiot.

Why not go to Los Angeles?

Nothing more to prove at UConn, he won back to back titles.

Didn't want him gone because of the success he has there, just really hate his bs antics.
The pundits and talking heads were only 3 years and $30M off the Lakers offer to Hurley. 🤪 the sports world does like a soap opera.

But, not good for the other Big East teams.

I've always felt that, in order to be serious BE contenders again, even if we do everything right, that the rest of the league has to come back down to us, at least a little bit.

If we're getting better, and the teams ahead of us are also better, that's not going to do us much good.

I'm not seeing that happening. I'm just seeing the rich get richer (and not just this decision, either).

If the rest of the league comes back down the BE will get 2 bids. ;)

Exactly let’s beat this whiny bald bastard. Be nice to stomp em by 20 at the Garden on a Saturday afternoon have their fans leave with 6 minutes left and bottom bowl screaming GTFOH!

You realize you're one of the few on this board that can call him old. ;)

Only the teams at the top, and they only have to come down a little bit. Then, we can shoot past them, and hopefully we continue to get better, while the other teams in the conference do as well.

If the reports are right that the money was around $11-$12 million (6yrs/$70 mil) that is not going to get it done and the Lakers had to know that.

Is it a raise for him? Yes. Could UCONN match that? No.

But if you really wanted him then you offer $15 mil per year. You blow him away.

To me this sounds like the Lakers wanted the PR stunt of going after the hottest coach in the business but not landing him and then turning to the person they ultimately wanted to hire, JJ Redick.

Yea I am not sure how anyone can spin this into saying Hurley was just playing the game and not seriously considering.

Even his statement to Woj after turning it down was he "Couldn't pass up the chance to go for a 3 peat", where does that leave us in March if he loses in the elite 8? What compels him to stay in CBB? frankly it sounds like Hurley isn't long for the college basketball world. It wasn't this job, but there will be others
Goodman is reporting Hurleys arm needed to be heavily twisting into even taking the lakers meeting.

Lets stop calling me ludicrious and lets admit I nailed this one and move on.

The Lakers offered to make Hurley the 2nd highest paid basketball coach in Los Angeles.

Not only was hurley not interested, the Lakers werent serious either.

It broke Thursday, feelers were out before then.
Whatever, you think what you think, I will do the same. Not a fan of telling other people how they should deal with their lives. You guys always had the option to turn off the “soap opera”.
