Good for the Big East.
But, not good for the other Big East teams.

I've always felt that, in order to be serious BE contenders again, even if we do everything right, that the rest of the league has to come back down to us, at least a little bit.

If we're getting better, and the teams ahead of us are also better, that's not going to do us much good.

I'm not seeing that happening. I'm just seeing the rich get richer (and not just this decision, either).

A completely life altering decision, especially concerning his marriage and family, with two mega contract offers to be finalized, legally reviewed, and then decided upon in 4 days is a soap opera?
+1000. I would think we'd all want a week to make a decision that important to our lives. Perfectly understandable and good for Hurley. He'll have a chance for an NBA job closer to home down the road.

Please tell me you are not a crisis counselor or motivational speaker.

It made no sense why anyone thought this was a real possibility. Danny Hurley is an alpha. He was never going to take a job to go get bossed around by Lebron.

11M a year + get bossed around by lebron + have to draft/play Lebron's son who isnt an nba talent etc etc etc.

This was never even considered by Hurley.

Hurley’s recruiting just got even easier as beyond having won back to back NCs on his resume he also has turning down Kentucky and Laker job offers the past 2 years.

Just stop please, to say it was not a possibility is a ludicrous statement, even for you.

Who cares? I personally could give a sh*t.

After this season's NCAA bids, having Pukon win consistently means nothing. We're done as a conference because we're not a P5 conference.

We'll compete with them as hard as we can as long as Pitino is here.

Letting Pukon back into the BE was a big mistake.

Yes. You’ve already discussed the pros and cons with your spouse before you’ve booked the flight out there and already know the parameters for the deal.

Yea I am not sure how anyone can spin this into saying Hurley was just playing the game and not seriously considering.

Even his statement to Woj after turning it down was he "Couldn't pass up the chance to go for a 3 peat", where does that leave us in March if he loses in the elite 8? What compels him to stay in CBB? frankly it sounds like Hurley isn't long for the college basketball world. It wasn't this job, but there will be others

Ahhh FFSSSSSSS 🤬

Rick will just have to beat the mental idiot.

Why not go to Los Angeles?

Nothing more to prove at UConn, he won back to back titles.

Didn't want him gone because of the success he has there, just really hate his bs antics.
Totally agree, his antics are off the charts, but this hands our great HC his shot at Rick;s Revenge, lol.

Well, the Celtics are in the finals, the Knicks and Sixers seem content with their coaches, and the Nets and Wizards just made coaching hires. I don't see where a northeast NBA job is going to be avliable anytime soon.

This is the best outcome for all involved, The Big East is better with a stacked UConn team that’s ranked in the Top 5. Adds two quad one games to every Big East teams schedule. I know that everyone hates them as do I but having them in the conference and being so good is the best thing all around.
