Next year, same bat time, same bat channelIF it was the Knicks he would of taken it in a heartbeat no questions asked
Listen to his interview today w/ fanta and some other guy. He states hurleys arm needed to be twisted to take the meeting.Jeff Goodman: “Hurley strongly considered the Lakers, but after meeting with the Lakers brass on Friday night, he ultimately decided that this wasn’t the right move for him in his career.”
Jeff Goodman: “According to my sources, he flipped his decision. He may have flipped a couple of times. He has wrestled with this decision since Wednesday. This was not an easy decision-- and it wasn't a money decision"
But yes guys, Mullins Revenge is right. it was all a big trick! He flew across the country, met with an nba team, and took an entire weekend to come to a decision as a big prank! Gotcha!
Meanwhile, in 2019, we couldn't get the Loyola Chicago coach to come here. The coach at UCONN just turned down the LOS ANGELES LAKERS. Let that sink in. Regardless of how we may feel about Hurley and that program, this is a statement and a big deal for our conference.
Meanwhile, in 2019, we couldn't get the Loyola Chicago coach to come here.
In 2010, we couldn't get the Georgia Tech coach to come here, when the powers that be at Tech wanted him to come here (though I was glad for that).
I’m absolutely not even taking a side you are probably both right in some points . Just chuckling because because while completely not relatable since money so much less and no relocation in 1996 when I partnered with my then partner it happened over a lunch then when he died in 2000 my new partner who I had known for a couple years a deal was struck over a 10 minute call march of 2020 ( when we all had to work from home for covid ) our second partner joined September of 2000 while appetizers were still being served ( eating outside during covid ) our 3rd partner joined over a drink at that same restaurant in 2022 our 4th partner joined after 1 meeting after our introductory dinner and our last 2 assistants had to decide yes or no the day we interviewed themNice nonsense, none of that in any way entitles you to decide how long another family should take to make THEIR life decision.

You probably had an internal debate about the commuteOn the counterside it took me three weeks to decide if I wanted to take a department transfer inside my own office a couple months back. LOL
Very unique circumstance, that I don't think we can rely on again.Don't get your point. In 2023 we got Rick Pitino to come here.
All those loud, obnoxious, and pompous UConn fans just became exponentially more loud, obnoxious, and pompous. The coach at UCONN just turned down the LOS ANGELES LAKERS. Let that sink in. Relocation and changing careers are not things done lightly especially if you have a family who will be impacted. In 1993, I graduated law school at night while working a full time demanding day job. We lived in Flushing and had 3 girls aged 4, eI’m absolutely not even taking a side you are probably both right in some points . Long story short, I had an offer a few years back to relocate to a city that I have been in on business that I love and thought of retiring there. It was a great offer and I strongly considered it even though me and my spouse having never lived outside on of NYC or LI (my wife had lived in Westchester while going to College) and having a kid starting (along with parent concerns). I wound up turning it down. If offered now, story could be very different.I’m absolutely not even taking a side you are probably both right in some points .
