Homeland And All Things Maher

I don’t know why I put Shrinking off for so long because the first 3 episodes were great. Totally hooked, definitely has Bill Lawrence’s fingerprints all over it.
Finished season one, awesome show. Gets a little soap opera-ish here and there but a definite Ted Lasso psychiatrist vibe to it for not only obvious writing connection but it’s (mostly) a feel-good show. Every one is great on this show but Harrison Ford actually has pretty good comedic timing.

Saw “A Complete Unknown” tonight at the theaters and was pretty impressed

Admittedly don’t know much about Bob Dylan, I am however a massive fan of Timothee Chalamet who is portraying Dylan, and think he did a tremendous job in this film.

thoroughly enjoyed the movie, a ton of music in it, live performances done by the actors. Monica Barbaro who portrayed Joan Baez is also fantastic

If it piqued your interest in Dylan, you can't do much better than Scorcese's fantastic documentary called "No Direction Home."

Red One on Prime is a cute Christmas movie, with the Rock. Rewatched the Ted Lasso season 3 Christmas episode. Terrific watch.

The Holdovers has become my new instant classic Christmas movie. Such a well made movie with a lot of heart. Of course, had to re-watch The Office UK Christmas 2-parter again. Talk about a perfect ending for a show.
I'm not a Monty Python fan. I hated Benny Hill on PBS. And I never, ever got Mr. Bean.

So when my friend kept talking and talking about the The Office from the UK 20+ years ago, I didn't jump on it.

When I finally did, I don't think I ever laughed harder. Brilliant from start to finish.

Somewhere, David Brent wistfully picks his guitar strings with a smile while he sings about the Free Love Freeway.

This might have been posted before so forgive me if I was the one and forgot, but Derry Girls about an all girls school in the 70's Northern Ireland during the troubles is smart, funny and well acted. The accents take a while to get used to, but the side characters are perfectly drawn. Like Uncle Colm who has a never-ending stream of long, boring stories. Everyone knows an Uncle Colm. Also terrific is the nun who plays the principal of the school, she's very funny too. The show's been around for a while, not newly released.

Ha. I just watched Derry Girls last month. Sister Michael is the best. Good show, fairly quick watch and a few serious moments sprinkled in to the comedy. I liked it.

Watched the Holdovers a couple weeks ago. One of the all time great Christmas movies. It has that “they don’t make movies like this anymore” feel to it

If you have trouble with the accents, put the closed captions feature on--I do it for a lot of shows in "English" because the accents are a true to dialects but not recognizable to "American"

One of the best comedies of recent memory.

Sister Michael: "God, doesn't hate you Claire."

Claire: "Oh, thank you sister."

Sister: "You're not interesting enough."
