Archie milller fired according to goodman
4 years too late is still better than never.

If Zaun were still here I'm sure there'd be a thread coming suggesting we dump CMA and throw a truck load of cash at Miller.

Edit*  My bad. Multi tasking and thought Arizona finally came to their senses and fired his borther...nevermind.

BTW-I heard an interesting name in the Fordham search relevant to SJU, Steve DeMeo.
Might be a good choice as he has successful JC head coaching experience and NY roots.  Hate to lose him but I would rather have CMA hire AC's who have potential to grow into HC's.
Why wouldn't DeMeo be able grow into a HC?
Sorry if I was not clear But Steve is exactly the type of AC that CMA has hired who can go on to a HC at the division 1 level.

Pitino at Minnesota earned his dismissal . Every Coach at these levels has to Win . Period !  Big 10 tough league to compete in and it's Freezing in Minnesota !   Think his Dad hires him for a year and then have Richard succeed him , when Rick leaves ?   Another thought , just a fantasy , how about Rick Pitino at DePaul ? Interesting to ponder .

Richard Pitino and Tim Miles are the finalists for the New Mexico job
Fun place to work - The Pit is a great home court

Think Miles would be the better choice. He already was very successful at Colorado State, and would be a better fit.

Pretty funny Pitino interviewed already over the weekend before he was officially dismissed.

Be pretty ironic if Porter Moser turned down SJU job 2 yrs ago and then takes the DePaul job.

But it was a family decision 2 yrs ago his wife in particular did not want to leve Chicago area.  Deep ties there.

Rick Pitino has just accepted the Job at Minnesota . Replacing his son Richard .  Rick has  also accepted the Coaching job at DePaul , Indiana and any other school looking for a Coach .   Not as far fetched as it seems .  Each new job opening up is better than the first one .. Rick is too slick , not to realize that .. He could be a 1 and done at Iona .

Moser hits the lottery with DePaul, Indiana and Minnesota all in his breadbasket.

I'd assume DePaul throws the cash at him, it just makes too much sense for both parties.  Though you can usually count on DePaul screwing things up, it's what they do.

I'd bet on Beilien to Indiana, that's basically a perfect match.

No clue about Minnesota. Maybe Moser if he doesn't wind up at DePaul?

Yes, he would be a good fit there, especially since he's bumped up his resume the last 2 years (which was my concern when we were courting him).

A fit like that is something we haven't had the last few searches.  It's not like we haven't gotten a perfect fit, it's just that there is not one out there, for us.  Not right now, anyway.
